Murdoc*****^^^That's about the norm for him. He's not just a parts site, he comes from BMW/Mini and shot off and has his own shop so he is very knowledgable.
Me, I'm ok at mechanics but trying to figure out what I want to do with my car and what is needed is another thing. He's walked me through different scenories which helped me make up my mind.

OMG How did I miss this? Stratton is only 15 minutes away. Oh yeah Ramsey is stuck in his trailer buried in snow. :( what a bummer.

 

They'll be there all next week too, I think they do test drives during the Open

 

I was partly kidding. I actually used to work up there, but I can't get my MINI out with all the snow we just had. If I did go up in my truck I'd be depressed.

But didn't I tell you to let me know when you were over here?

 

That's way tooo cool.

 

I had to fix the round piece that goes around the xenon bulb because the little tabs that hold it on broke a little. Figured as long as I was in there I'd fancify a little bit. I used red Plastidip inside and out. I think I like it but if I decide I don't, I can peel the Plastidip off. I just had to see what BRG and red looked like!

 

NavyNUKE - thanks for those pics. Definitely the first time I’ve seen a MINI like event in the snow. AWESOME!!

 

MINI actually does a lot of events with Burton, still find that pretty cool.

 

looks like a bulldog with bloodshot eyes. I think silver would have been better.

 

Ya, not sold on the red eyes either. I was going to say a bullfrog with blood shot eyes but a bulldog is ok.
Silver would be a little more appealing but then again, personal preference is what it's all about.
Like the OP said, he can always peel it off.

 

I zipped through the first (only?) winter wonderland of Massachusetts to work today. Hobbes handled beautifully.

And, when I got to the relatively small parking garage, I spotted 7 MINIs all within about 30 feet of each other, 3 right in a row. Definitely bucked the stats of the number of MINI drivers out there compared to the total population.

 

Ordered the old style alta silicone intake tube and an occ from saikou michi.

 

new work lug nuts! and stud conversion! pics to come once i put them on. just waiting for my coilovers to come in before i do anything.

 

Put in my scangauge II. Now I can monitor my water temp and boost! Finally some real gauges.

Still have to get around to installing the new LED driving lights/fogs. Saving that for a warm weekend.

 

i used to have a set of these but they didn't fit with the stud conversion i got. i needed to get open ended lugs.

 

got me some new cooper zeon tires

 

did the recall water pump yesterday got oil changed with brake fluid the heater worked strange after the recall then works fine this morning not sure what that was about but hey its all good now
