What year is your car?
Oh, how do you like the NM torque arm mount inserts?
I've got some sitting here to be put on.

That just happened to my fiancee's '11 Countryman. They fixed hers up, though, and it has been running great ever since. Hopefully yours will be a quick fix, too.

man the nm torque arm inserts are AWESOME! should go put them in right now... it literally takes 10 minutes and thats jacking up the car... i really saw the big difference between 1st and 2nd shifts made it nice and stiff

I've got some other goodies to install as well but I'm waiting on some h-sport rear camber links. Then I'll do it all at once.
My car's an auto so not sure if I'll notice the change as much as a manual but I'll see.
Thanks for the info.

Removed the resonator from my exhaust today. Proud to say that i now have some nice pop and burble.

For those looking into this mod it cost me about 50$, i have zero drone, from the cabin its barely louder than stock ( but has a deeper, growling tone) but from the outside of the car its a fair deal louder than stock.

Got him a little bling... I'm considering drilling a hole in the small access panel so I don't see that cave. Anyone ever fiddle with that?

I put in a set of powerflex engine mount stiffeners (softer than the NM). I pulled them back out because of vibration. I have an AP, and my car idles a bit rougher than stock right now, so the vibration was more noticeable. I also learned that they tend to break in, so I will put them in when my tune gets updated and the idle smooths out a bit.
They really did help with torque steer a bunch, worth trying to see how your car reacts.

Mike

mb- I've heard they do have a break in period and are prone to vibrate a little at first. We'll see. I'm also lower the car an 1" and adding a intercooler.
Gotta play don't we!!!!!

Today I spent a good portion of the afternoon driving around with my girlfriend looking for a place that sold the correct spark plug socket for my R55. After checking 6 stores, I gave up and headed home. A quick search here on NAM and I found a link to the correct part (SEARS), and bought it for store pick-up $4.80...sure beats paying $30 on Amazon or $40 on outmotoring....

I forgot that it's ALWAYS a good idea to do a search here before calling and driving anywhere.

Got new headlight bulbs in the mail that I ordered a few days ago (Sylvania Xtravision, they're the best out there since they're not a bright white or blue bulb, I've been using them for quite a while now you can't beat them).

I've been trying to order Megan coilovers but after waiting a week after placing an order and not hearing anything I found out they were backordered I feverishly searched every distributor without luck so I guess I'll be waiting til the middle/end of March In my sad state I went and found a new rear valance to order to get my mind off the coilovers, so now I'm waiting for my new GP rear valance

Try www.waymotorworks.com
Ordered mine from him and they are setting here in my office. Only thing that I ordered that's on BO is the h-sport rear camber links and Way called yesterday and said it'd be about 1 more week.

that was the first place I ordered from there was a mix up with my phone # and I never received the message they left on someone elses # telling them they were on backorder, so 2 weeks later I contacted them and found out the bad news. Apparently everyone in the US is sold out (or just drop ships from Megan?) so I have no choice but to wait til Megan gets them back in stock.... I can wait, it won't be easy but I think I can do it

Finally got around to installing the grille badge and badge holder that have been sitting in the garage for the past few weeks.... Adds a bit of bling to the front

Can't tell by the picture but is that the metal holder or does it have the screw on bezel?
I've got the screw/magnetic one on the one side and just the magnetic one on the other. I really like the screw on ones plus you can get 3d badges that are pretty cool looking.

Anyway, they do add a little touch of class.

As luck would have it, while I was shipping out a package destined for a fellow Mini owner, I noticed an ad pop up for a set of unused Megan coilovers in the market I pounced on it and have agreed to buy them from the seller I'm one super happy guy right now

just installed the DDM intake for the r56 justa and took her out for a test. first impressions, adds a deep growl that's plenty loud inside the cabin but not too loud, however i'm not too big of the note it hits in 5th around 2k and its almost dead silent in 6th. it felt like there was a little extra kick, i think i read that there was a gain of 8 ft/lb of torque but don't quote me on that.
