I painted the grille with plastic dip. The results came out pretty good. Notice that i only did the upper grille. The bottom is wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl. Here are the pictures:

Yes, easy to install. Check around for best price. I think I paid toooo much for the one I got. Also, before splicing in the wires (cutting them) make sure the pulsar isn't in the way of the inside panel plug hole. I cut mine a hair short and the pulsar is sorta over my plastic trim hole. Doesn't fit as flush as before. It's ok but wish I had thought it out a little better before cutting.
You know, "measure twice and cut once". LOL
Price them from www.OutMotoring.com

Looked ok with the chrome before but it came out pretty nice looking with the dark grey color. Let us know how it holds up against bugs and rocks.

Went from this:

To THIS!

Install the super easy only thing that I screwed up was the connector on the fender!

In addition, I had NO oil on the stock IC!

For Giggles - a pic of her much loved Clubbie... And also - you’ll find that the DDM intake growls when it’s all warmed up and punching the throttle.

What brand IC is that? How long did it take you?
I've got a Forge sitting here wondering whether to tackle the job myself or have it done.

Went to my audio installer yesterday to check on Smacky. Turns out there's something wrong with one of the tweeters which is delaying the install. I'm hoping everything turns out ok by next week (read: not have to buy new separates). Tweeters in pods on the dash, OEM grille for the 6.5" midbass...everything looks OEM except for the trunk...

Took my 2 month old car in to the service center to have them check on the backfire last week. They did a diagnostic and replaced a thermostat. They suggested that I use a higher octane fuel, and drive more aggressively! Bet they don't say that to too many MINI drivers!!! They also washed her (second time this week!!), and verified that she does indeed have a light scratch on the passenger side. Poor baby!

A little color, and some additional power outlets. I installed the outlets inside the panel under the steering column so I could run the power supply to my Sirius without having a bunch of wires sticking out. I ran the power supply and the antenna wire under the dash and through the slats under the radio/climate control. Came out pretty good.

Sirius install. I got the aux in and installed it on the inside of the right pillar then used a retractible cord. The cord sucks up nicely so it's not all over, but I can unplug it from the Sirius, pull it out, and use it on my iPod or phone for Pandora.

Goodbye marker lights

So I know some may protest the elimination of the side marker lights, but I really think they interrupt the flow of the car.

So, I wrapped them in 3M CF Vinyl wrap

Threw the quicksilver exhaust back on then took it for a spirited drive through the back roads.

CR 59 heading south toward Gulf Shores is 55mph and I really have to watch it there. I'm at 70 and don't even realize it. Lots of little town coppers and State Hwy patrol roaming this stretch.
Been lucky so far but I'm afraid my day is coming.

Scan Gauge II is next on my list but it's gonna have to wait awhile.
Every time I add something to my car I say, that's it. Then within a day or so something else pops up. Usually, from this site. Damn!
