Drove it back from Salina, KS, where I took it last week. 1380 miles round trip. Got just 33.2 MPG, but my average speed was 78 MPH, with the a/c on. Now to get the rather prominent, and diverse, collection of insects off of it.

Washed up the "Red Dragon" and hosted the RVA MINIs meet up on the southside of Richmond, VA. Good times!

Mine's at the dealership getting work done but I've put about 200 miles on the loaner so far. LOL She's a pretty velvet silver Clubbie.

Installed my new custom EuroPlate after coming back from a 200 mile motorcycle ride to Sturgeon's steam powered sawmill in Sebastopol CA. Today was the first demonstration day of the season.
I wasn't sure I was gonna like the plate but I think it looks good.

Megan Racing Coilovers set at #17 of 32 settings on the dampers. About 24.5" from bottom of wheel arch to ground (enough not to drag and able to get over speed bumps). 16" wheels with s-drive Yokohoma's.
Actually had the Megans on for about a month and so far I love 'em.

Lost MINI Keyfob...

My story happened on Friday Afternoon, but thought I'd share...BTW it does have a happy ending.

It started out as an adventure at lunchtime, I was going to go across the street and check out a Salon in the new area where my office moved to. I started to walk down the street and tripped and fell, I had just taken my MINI Keyfob out of my pocket where it is usually tucked when I am out of Molly but still going to be driving her, I put it in the front pocket of my purse where her Keyfob and keys to my Husbands Soul reside. As soon as I had put Molly's Keyfob in the pocket...BOOM...down I went, no one was close by, but a guy was walking some distance behind me. I got up and began to walk another 10ft. or so and thought to myself, "maybe I should check and make sure Molly's Keyfob is still where I had put it"...NO...it wasn't. I'm walking along a road with Ivy on both sides of the sidewalk...UGGGGGHHHH!! So I begin to look and at the same time calling Hubby in a PANIC!!
If I had heard it drop I might have had a clue as to where it had gone, but it made no sound when it fell into the Ivy.
Hubby wanted to come immediately and "help" me look for it...yeah, if I had had a clue as to where it went.
So I had to reserve myself to never having Molly's 1st Keyfob, the one that our Super Salesman gave me when I got in her for the very 1st time!! And I would have to get to the Dealership before they closed @ 6pm on a Friday Night in Portland, OR traffic...yeah that'd be a miracle and order another Keyfob for Molly.
Hubby came and picked me up, we took Molly to the Dealership, so that if her Keyfob had been found by someone they wouldn't be going around looking for a MINI in the area...there are several!!
So we get to the Dealership, my SA is a personal friend, I say "I'm here to sign my Life Away!!", because when you loose a key you HAVE to have proof you OWN the car...yes, he's worked on Molly for a few years now and he knows I OWN Molly, but it's the way things are, so we go to the Service Dept. and order the key, we go back to my work so Hubby can get his car.
He wants to go look for Molly's Keyfob in the Ivy...where ever it is!! I get a call while I'm still on the road on the way home to take care of the Furkids, who have now been crated for almost 11hrs., way to long I now, he says "I get anything I want now right??!!", I knew he had FOUND Molly's Keyfob right then and there!! How on earth he found it I have no clue, he says he just started feeling around with his foot and saw something shiny in the Ivy, bent down and there they were!!
A Happy Ending to a very long story, sorry folks, but I had to share and also say...
"MY Husband is MY Hero and Knight in Shining Armor!!"

^Julie, what a story! I'd have panicked too! Glad he found them! BTW, Giggles has been behaving the last few days. Tomorrow she goes to the dealership. Hope they can find something and make her better. For some reason, I'm thinking they won't find anything....heard of this happening with a one time stall out issue. We will see.

Added some new vinyl to my Mini. In the back window under my"bend the rules, rule the bends" I put "Minis on the Dragon 2012" done in Dragonwick font. Love it! On windshield I put "Dragon Slayer" in a cool gothic like font. Getting ready to put white pinstripes on the sides of my black angled side stripes to tie in with my bonnet stripes. Wonder how much HP they added?!

^^May as well post them from work. I've been having issues all day with trying to post pictures. Keep getting a security token error message when I use the attachment bar (paperclip) in a post and try posting from my computer. Very frustrating. I'm thinking it's on NAM's side but not sure. There is not a whole lot of activity on the site today for some reason.
Oh, the vinyl will probably get ya 0.15 hp gain in HP if the install is smooth enough. LOL

Moved the rear headrests to the front seats. I'm not sure I like the look, but they don't push my head forward quite as much.

Nice! What did you use? Paint, powder-coat, plasti-dip?

Have you tried turning the front ones backwards? I like mind that way.

Oil and filter change.

For my test drive, I rolled out the back of my neighborhood and up South Mountain to get a look at what was left of the eclipse. Neat....

C ya,
