Got tired of the armrest cover sliding back all the time, so took it off and applied some Gorilla Super Glue Gel
to the bumps near the front of the lower track, one drop at a time to build it up a little. Had to take it off so that
I could let it lie on its side so the glue would set without running the wrong way.

Now it closed MUCH more securely. Hope it lasts. If not, will try a different glue next time.

Also booked service for yearly inspection, and while it's in there will have them work on the sunroof (doesn't
always close easily), install rear HSport Comp bar, and Powerflex front control arm bushings (before the
almost 10 year old oem ones bite the dust).

Put rear mud flaps on last week. Ordered front mud flaps. MINIMania says they'll fit a JCW Clubman
although other sources say not. We'll see.

Nope, is not going to fit and look anywhere near acceptable.
I even asked them on the order comments to double check fitment with my model before completing the order.
I read that someone reshaped them with a custom made form and a heat gun, but it will still be wonky on the bottom even with that.
Plus, MM is closed all day today for administrative meetings.
Will talk to them tomorrow and get a RA#.

Anyone know of a decent set of front mud flaps for R55, etc. with JCW trim?

paid for expensive braces for my teenage mini

Like a lot of teenage, Mini need braces - or at least it thinks that it may grow up to have buck teeth.

I paid for and put these braces into Desire's mouth.

strut tower brace and R52 Cabriolet front braces

Just finished doing some test fitting of 3rd Gen tug hook and accessories for Raceseng. I will be writing a review of the new products when they become available for retail sale.

Replaced my 11 year old key fob rechargeable battery and saved $350 in the process. Cost of the battery $2.50 + 10 min. of my time.

went for a burrito lunch

Took Mini for a burrito lunch, and Mini thinks is too much work. My lunch was like 2/3 x $6.99. Mini's lunch is like $50 . That is why I call it Mini hog.

Swapped in some OEM JCW gauge faces from used ones found on eBay. Hardest part was removing the tach needle and keeping dust out. Love the look.

Stoppe Mice Infestation

Got tired of mice getting inside. Screened off the huge intake air hole.

Our Turbo Kit (400HP) is complete for the N14 and now will be fitted to my N18 Countryman. Last night at 11psi it hit harder than 22psi on a typical stage 3 K03/K04 Hybrid 43mm turbo. Can’t wait to install the forged block sitting by my pool 1.5BAR (22psi) is going to be extreme while still having normal daily driving capabilities.

Yesterday was the big one. After replacing the clutch and flywheel, numerous seals and gaskets, the balljoints, tie rods, LCA bushings, coolant temp sensor, thermostat, and I think a couple other things, Egan sprung back to life!

...although it was a bit finicky because bleeding the coolant system through the valve took some work. See, rather than recycle the old coolant that I had to drain when I took the car apart, I figured it was better to use new coolant in the process. The trouble was when I had to judge how much coolant I had to put in, and let's just say I had to put more in that I thought I did.

The expansion tank kept sucking up the coolant, which led to air getting into the system, plus a couple scares when the temp gauge in the car jumped to almost in the red.

After a couple tries though, I finally managed to bleed the air out of the system, plus have enough coolant so my CEL would go out. I got Egan off the jack stands, and onto its own weight, and went for a quick test drive to see if the clutch was fine, which thankfully I did everything correctly it seems.

That Valeo clutch will take some getting used to since it is much lighter in feel compared to stock, although it grabs nicely for the quick drive around the block I did for it.

I am so happy this surgery is done, and I'll be glad to get Egan back on the road for many more happy motoring miles.

Finished installing the retrofit fog lights this past week. I just need to get them coded at my local NON dealership shop!

Installed PIAA wipers and PIAA H7 Extreme bulbs. Replaced the rear wiper as well then cleaned her up for her 13th birthday!
