@Alnbiecrazy - That stuff looks awfully dry. I hope you let the exhaust cool down before you drove it onto that tall brown grass. If not, you got lucky you weren't taking a picture of your MINI engulfed in flames! Nice pics and nice car, though.

in the end, the cost to fix or repaint the scratch isn't worth the fight. regardless, i only had to post a $200 security deposit when i moved in and would be more than happy to lose it.
ouch, that sucks what happened and even more how they're treating it.

I've learned I can't browse while watching my Rangers play (and lose to the Devils ), I ended up ordering an Alta intake as well as a new shift **** which offset the loss I suppose I also installed 1 new wiper yesterday, the other will be here today.

I can hear the neo-continental NatGeo voice whispering now:

"Heah we have rayuh pictures of an albino Coopah in the wyld... notice the distinctive black mahkings about the front and reah paws, no doubt an eevolutionary trait developed to help it "blehnd inn" with the aasphalt to bettah escaype preedation"

Was going to rotate my tires but couldn't break the bolts lose. Went up the street and they did 'em and balanced them all for $32. Then I went up to O'Reilly Auto Parts and bought a 2' breaker bar for next time.
Raining today but tomorrow she's getting a bath and detail job.

You had better re-torque those lugs again. The $32 special probalby includes free lug nut tightening with an impact drill at some insane torque figure. Did they actually re-balance the tires? Seems unlikely for $32 and not usually needed just for a rotation.

No, actually other than my Mini dealership which is great but 45 miles away, these guys do a great job. Very careful and they didn't use impact tools (at my request) and torqued 'em to 103 ft pds. I've bought tires from them a number of times and they have just always treated me right.
I live in a fairly small town and believe it or not some of the places here really do care about their customers. Just lucky I guess.

Very cool. I tried to get a nice breaker bar 70% after xmas but the store ran out. Will wait until it goes on sale again.

Isn't the recommended torque 88ft lbs.?

Still can't figure out why I couldn't break the lugs loose. The dealer was the last to mess with them and I've removed them prior with no problem.
Forgot to mention also, this tire shop up the street. They put some anti-seize on the hub so the wheels don't rust and stick. Not all places do that. I also got the last breaker bar on the shelf at $28. Don't know how good it is but they told me it was of good quality. Fun day.

I believe the 1st gen is 88, 2nd gen is 103.
Maybe that's why I couldn't break them loose.
I've had them off before after the dealer messed with the car and had no problem.
Maybe they torqued them the last time a little too much.
Actually, I even feel 103 is extreme but that's what it calls for.
Maybe I'll drop it to 95.

Excellent accent. I think you have a future in communications.

1st gen has 12MM bolts, 2nd gen are 14MM so 103 is quite OK.

Welcome to NAM and from what I can see in the pics the paint job looks good. Hard to tell from a picture though. We'll take your word on it.
Enjoy.

You are killing me RJ!...
Heres the deal, needed to go to Phx and thought why not drive? Why not take Tyntcee? So I did,,, and short of the Magnaflow muffler (the drone sucks), it was a great trip.

Normally I take the Lexus for my road trips. After a few hours in the Lex, my back starts to burn and I start using the 10 or 12 way power option to find comfort- the MINI's seat is amazing, no back pain, no burn! Love the power and handling. Shift into 6th, set the cruise at 80-85, then kick back and relax!
