What did you do to your mini today?
Today: ...we took our Mini out to meet up with some new Mini friends and enjoy a drive out into the Tx hill country.
..great weather, clear skies, cool morning...got up into the high 70's by lunch.
..lotsa fun, some spirited driving on twisties...definitely less rubber on the tires after today
..our 1st group drive like this...of about 17 Minis we were the only Nightfire red...the only with aftermarket wheels...and blacked out chrome.
..a couple of pics, I was hopin' my wife would get some shots when we were on the curves...but she was too busy just holdin' on..to mess with the camera

Today, on my second day of ownership, I removed those plastic rings on the rear headrests. I have no idea how you see with those up so high with thsoe things on there.
And I changed my lane change signal to blink 3X.
I'm still learning how to work everything, so I was out there sitting in the car with the manual playing with everything too. Seems odd that the CD player has no Pause or Stop that I can see yet.

Thanks for the pics!!
Not today....but yesterday evening as I was exiting the car I managed to spill some of my Chic-fil-a banana pudding milkshake between the center console and drivers seat.
I spent some time excavating it from the abyss and cleaned up the residue with a damp cloth and the carpet w/ Bissell carpet cleaner. Today I cleaned the punch leather seat with Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner.

I purchased my JCW from MINI of SA. Hit me up the next time you guys do a road trip. I'm 3 hrs. west so it's a bit of a hike.
..MINI of SA actually organized it...a customer appreciation drive, treated us to lunch out in Kerville Tx. ...they have some pics & vids of the drives on their facebook page..where they announce upcoming stuff.
..they try to do a Sunday drive about every 6-8wks, this one got pushed back because of easter, mother's day...etc.
..hope you can make it over to the next drive.

How long does it take to put one on? I went on a snowboarding trip to big bear and little lava rocks tore up my car. There were new dings on the bumper and hood and scratches on the plastic rear wheel arches. I found the little lava rocks under the hood near the headlights and even inside the air filter tray. I'm think about getting one just for trips like that.
Those little lava rocks will find their way between that leather and your bonnet. After that, vibration does the rest. Get a Clear Bra stuck on.

Yesterday I gave my Ladybug her standard weekend detailing. Then, I reapplied Black Wow to really make her look great. Since the afternoon was so nice, I swept out my Race Deck tiled garage, and Swiffered too! Nothing out of the ordinary, but I think she knows how much I love her since I detail her every weekend. Who would have thought detailing a car and garage floor could be so relaxing?

..they are based out of Houston area & do things regularly.
..they even had a regular hill country drive in our area back in Sep/10, but unfortunately we couldn't make it.
..looks like they are planning for their 6th annual Galveston drive in July..maybe we'll plan for it..and see ya there!

Bought one!
2004 Cooper S in Pepper White
I'm coming from a Jeep TJ, so it's a definite change, but after that drive home tonight, I know I'll like it as much as I thought I would. The peacefulness of driving at night was something different, as I've put about 150km on it today alone. It is something though. I've yet to discover any quirks or mechanical problems, other than a whiny power steering.
