After a year and a half of waiting, the VA finally gave me their decision. So this is what I did to my MINI (yesterday):

I also got my new scanguage2 plugged in, but I haven't decided where to attach it.

Looks great, man.

Thank you for your service. My grandfather was a DAV member--one of the first up the beach on Okinawa in '44.

C ya,

He didn't tell many stories from his time in the Marines, but he did use his missing left hand as a comic prop a *lot*--like after my grandmother had just scolded me for chewing my fingernails, he'd wave his stump at me and say, "See what happens!".

C ya,
Dutch

From what I've seen, those who tell the fewest stories are the ones who saw the most. It's great to know he had a sense of humor though.

This past week: Tinted the windows, purchased two Multivex mirrors and a Proclip for my Iphone; am considering adding Lorenzo wheels shortly.

~Suggestions on what I should do with these original rims-they only have 350 miles?

My 5 year old Grandaughter and I gave Giggles a bath

She kept saying,as she rinsed EVERYTHING with the hose, "Gammaw your car looks like a race car!"

Smartest kid EVER

2010 HzB/Clubgirl, fairly loaded, much loved

Went past the 1K mark over here too.

Also bought a set of rhino ramps in preparation for installing a trailer hitch tomorrow!

Just curious, whatcha gonna tow??? How much weight can MINI's tow?? When I think "tow vehicle" I think Tacoma Truck!! Which is what we use to tow our pop-up camper, and my Giggles gets the garage all to herself!

After getting back from MOTD, my R50 needed to go back to street mode. Bridgestone Potenza RE 11's off & RE 960's on, race exhaust off & back to stock, TSW engine dampner off, race belts removed, back seat reinstalled. Now nice quiet, smooth fun go to work Mini. Oh, and a good wash!

The hitch says it can tow up to a 1400 pound load with 200 lbs max tongue weight but all I'll be using it for is a bike rack. Since mine's a convertible, I can't use a regular strap-on bike rack and have to either carry the bikes inside the car or use a hitch-mounted bike rack.

Yeah, I wouldn't do that with any car this small. Well, at least not again! About 6 or 7 years ago I drove from NYC to Miami in a pontiac sunfire towing a uhaul trailer with a motorcycle in it. That was an interesting drive to say the least, and that's with the sunfire that was a little bigger than the Mini.

Finally put on my Wilwood BBK. Took a short ride and tested the setup. Not bad at all for a few miles and a dozen stops or so. I need to seat the pads in a couple hundred miles, but I got a few seat clearing stops in here and there.

Got the car back today from dealer after getting the HPFP replaced. Decided to give spring cleaning inside.

Modding Party Wrapup

Our modding party today didn't go too bad. 3 new RSB's installed (NM & H-Sport), 2 NM SSA's, one WMW diverter valve, one third brake light pulsar and a black top grill surround. Not to mention a great BBQ for lunch, enough BS spreading to keep the host's yard green for years, the Kentucky Derby and a humongous pile of laughter. We'll all sleep pretty good once our sides un-cramp, LOL! Those with the new mods were still grinning looong after brief test drives. Waaaaaaayy too much fun in the SoCal sun!!

It was a "fun" ride.
