I took the family for a "drive" yesterday. I honestly can't remember the last time I did that. At least three years ago.

This past week I tinted the windows and removed the bonnet stripes, then added racing stripes. Topped off with a "skull" badge on the grill.

Today, I washed up and detailed the Mini. Nice and clean!

Installed seat covers on the front seats. We'll see if they help bring some breathability to the Grace Jones seating!

JB welded the cup holder again...if one more person gets in my car and says, "what's this?" and grabs the cup holder!!! Oh and determined that my driver's side tie-rod is bad.

everything black on the car(that didnt come that way) is plastidip. head light rings, scoop, grill surround, scuttles, boot handle, gas cap, belt line, and door handles. all has held up really well except for door handles, and the belt line. gonna redo the belt line with the tape kit, and just re spray the door handles.

oh wheels and exhaust tips are paint.

How did you go about doing that? I used gloss black spray paint on my exterior trim, wondering if that's a decent way to paint rims.

Installed the XM radio/Blitzsafe interface system.

This is an awesome package which installed in the right rear compartment and allows for my continued use of the c/d changer in the rear. Anyone in doubt should consider this mod option. It was a very simple install...

Got stuck in traffic on the way to work. After 25 minutes I got to see why:

A light blue/white mini was upside down, perpendicular to the roadway. It didn't look like it was in that bad of shape for being upside down.

Of course I'd like to know what happened (merged into? run off the road?) and if the driver is alright. If anyone knows, please share.

Highway 85 Northbound just before El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA around 11am

btw, genius on the index cards. gonna have to steal that. did you sand your rims off first?

Installed some bass blockers on my front speakers, coupled with a Basslink the factory non-HiFi actually sounds pretty darn good.
