I ordered the black JCW grill for my Justa. I can't wait to get it and put on my first mod!

Like a kid at Christmas I am.

You're gonna love it!

I got all the salt off the Kid today. And I bought him a MINI maglite for the glovebox. Never know when you need a flashlight! I also got some soft rubber tubing that I'm hoping will fit right over the cable that runs to my nav. In the cold, the cable gets so cold and hard that it rattles against the steering column on bumpy roads. Maybe this softer tubing will quiet things down a little.

I made a video camera mount for my MINI today using the stock tow hook, 4 fender washers and parts from my old VW headrest video camera mount. Got the idea from one that is actually sold for a couple hundred bucks (camera included) I originally spent $100.00 FOR THE VW mount but haven't used since I sold my VW and haven't been able to sell it. I can mount it from the front or the back tow hook mount. Here is a pic of it mounted to the front. Today I invested $1.55 for the washers and here's the finished product.

THAT is slick! I've been really thinking hard about getting one of those go-pro cameras and your mounting option looks awesome. Perhaps I'll check REI's scratch and dent/craigslist/ebay for just a camera and use your mount idea to save a few bucks!

A quick wash was done yesterday. I put 380 miles on RuFus on Friday driving through NJ, PA and MD, so he was covered with salt and other road grime. Difficult to describe the color of the boot

It was about 35 degrees so I worked quickly

Not the best job I have done, but I got the grime off.

Oil & filter change, put on my new Multivex side mirrors, swapped my Scan Gauge and my GPS mounts, put my armrest back in again, and put in some cool orange LED lights in the foot wells.

Picked up my JCW Alacantara steering wheel. It will be mounted on Wednesday morning. Was going to do it myself, but something about the steering wheel makes me want to have the assurance that if it comes off at 110 mph, BMW might foot the bill.......

Dave, do you still have the Scangauge II? Do you mind putting it in and telling me what your water temp is when the Donkey is warmed up? I read 220 F. Wonder if there is an aftermarket thermostat to make the cooling system regulate to 195 to 200 F..........

220 F. is normal temp. To change to a lower temp. thermostat requires re-programing the ECU. Good Luck!

Panic and GO PRO

Installed my Panic button, the little bugger was hard to get on perfectly, had to use a heat gun to get the bubbles out, I think I still have some however

Also mounted my Hero HD Go Pro ... baller status.

Yeah, it's a finicky job. It took me probably 15 -20 minutes of fussing with it, and like you, I've got one or two "not quite right" spots. Yours looks good in the picture though!

Yeah I had to take it off and on a few times. I wanted to stretch it out a bit so it would wrap around the button, but that didn't work too well. It looks good for now but if the bubbles pop back up, I'll just get another one from Lyle! Thanks for the compliments.

Nice! what a difference!

As for me today....i ordered my tow hook and while out driving through a parking lot a mom and her 20some year old gorgeous daughter kept pointing and smiling at my Mini from a slight distance....i have seriously never had someone stare so hard at a car before,i sware they were going to walk into a parked car haha so I rolled down my window and waved back at them. My car is limo tinted so when i waved they had that embarrassed look on there faces....like they thought i didnt see them But they then smiled and waved back

I wish we didnt have a divider between us and a dumb lady in a escallade wast up my A$$ the whole time, i would have stoped and talked to them. haha

I was considering vinyl wrapping or painting my roof too; how much is that gonna cost you (out of curiosity) and do you have the panoramic sunroof (since that will affect price)?

I have a Clubman that had the silver roof, tail light finisher and c pillar covers so I am painting the roof and rear bumper cover black. Silver and MY did not look good IMHO. I was going to wrap the roof and paint the bumper but decided on paint. I PM'ed you the price.
