I was ecstatic when I got my motoring kit! I brought the mousepad to my office so I can use it every day.

Hi minimike21,

My motoring kit had a mousepad, a cool pen, a white dice antenna ball, window decals (assorted words to put phrases together), a booklet of road games, a silver sticker to put on on the gas tank door, and some other little things that I cannot recall. I think mine took 2 months to come.

Stationed in Wiesbaden. I've been stationed in Germany for a number of years, besides growing up here as an Army brat. The mini replaced three prior POSs. So yeah, changing it is fun. Just a blast to race my wife's Tiguan on the autobahn...... Forgot to put the base 2011 side scuttles on my list of parts ordered....

You guessed it Dave, got it at ratfink.com They are under 10 bucks. I am an ol skool kind of guy and I thing they are pritty cool. I love anything that has Rat Fink on it. It's a real conversation piece. Younger folks want to know what it is, old school guys know exactly what it is. Still trying to figure out to attach things...

Got my pulley install kit today from Way (fast shipping btw) and had another member hook up a shop nearby to do the install. Going by tomorrow to see if they can hook it up and get me done for the weekend! Woohoo!

[edit] impatiently waiting until Monday. If I had the pulley tool, I would probably just go outside and try to do it on my own. Perhaps it's better that I DON'T have the pulley tool...hehe.

I never thought I'd say this, but "come on Monday, hurry up and get here!"

Dropped the Continental OEM 195/55-16 RF tires for a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS 205/55-16s. Nice ride - quiet, takes some of the bump out of the bumdy bump, and are nicer in snow. Quelled my optimistic speedo by 1mph, too.

It's to keep the wax off of the trim. I waxed my MINI and got wax on the textured fender and rocker trim, it wouldn't come off and left white streaks on the edges. I got some Mother's Back to Black http://www.mothers.com/02_products/06108.html
and that got it off.

Octane guy also has a product called Black Wow,
http://www.showcarsupplies.com/shopd...stic+Trim+Care
that will get it off also.

But if you tape the trim, it keeps the wax where you want it.

Dave

Tried to replace the fogs with PIAA extreme white but I can't get the damn bulbs off! It's like they're glued in there or something!

The steering wheel with VAT is 330 Euro. So, - VAT and conversion, it should cost about $100 less than across the pond. I will be stopping by next week. Be ready for the jokes, 'cause we all know your Donkey is an ***.....

Do you have the TSW slotted black carbon steel rotors? If so, how are they?

May I say, without upsetting the UCMJ, that it is a nice ***, even though there are no barn doors... Thanks for the info about the rotors. Kicking around the idea of new rotors and pads. TSW w/ EBC Green Stuffs.

Oh, ran my car through the Esso (Exxon) wash to get off the road salt. Noticed that I still get the road grime rust spots. They are by no means permanent, but they are annoying because i just can't sit out in 37 degrees and wax my beast. Only parts that got wax attention were the black handle covers.

Same here - mine came the other day as I was leaving for work; still haven't looked at everything yet.
