You know, I was really happy with my dark blue & orange interior with my dark blue steering wheel................until I was your wheel......I want it. So now I either have to change my whole interior or buy a new MINI
Sorry 'bout that. OTOH, your sig describes my philosophy perfectly.

First....apparently I'm starting to spell from "right to left" instead of "left to right" ("was" instead of "saw")
I've been using that quote in my sig for years now on various forums. About 20 yrs ago, a cousin gave me a metal fridge magnet that has an old guy sitting with his dog and that quote written on it........laughed my a$$ off and figured it suited me to a tee. Of course since then, I've seen different variations of it used quite a bit, but back then I thought it was pretty unique.
My wife has one that she has been using for 12 yrs now on her various forums "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?" I always thought that one was kind of cool.
How many miles/time did you have on that filter? Did you just replace it with standard drop in or did you upgrade?
I only bought the car 11 months ago, and I asked them to give it a full service (inc. filters, oils, fluids, gaskets etc.) but it looks like they missed the filters! I would love to know how long it has been in there for, it looks like it's been there 3 years+! Good job I checked, just giving the car a good once over before going on a long trip, though I check the fluids at least once a week.
I replaced it with a K&N Panel Filter, more insurance friendly than an induction kit etc. Sounds better, pulls more cleanly through the revs (although the 4.5k rpm kick has kind of gone!) and I'm getting slightly better fuel economy, so good news all round!
Well I cleaned up after a weekend on the road and track. What a blast we had at Thunderhill. Besides all the rain on the way up there to dirty the MINIs, I took full advantage of my entry fee on Sunday... I even saved the turf to prove I was there.
I didn't do anything to my MINI today, but am waiting on some parts in the mail, a replacement hardwire kit for my Valentine 1 and braided stainless steel brake lines.
Shortened the arm of my Craven above-the-wheel Scangauge mount by 1". Now it's out of my straight ahead view, but still fully visible. Hey, I had to have something to do while waiting for the last of my brake goodies to arrive!
