Thanks, for the "bad influence" Dwight! Haha! I'm glad I went with DoS CAI and the diverter valve. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they complement each other!

I installed the NM Torque Arm Inserts on my '11 S. I can not tell you what a huge difference that little part made in drivability. NO more L&L. Love it.

ORDER ONE NOW!! Had mine a year and it's amazing what that $60 chunk of urethane does for shifting ease.

Attempted to hardwire my Valentine 1 through the dome light 12v line. Everything went well, except I can't manage to get power coming from the line. I did everything according to the instructions that came with the V1 and the thread I found on here, as well as using a volt tester on each wire...

It's so sad seeing the V1 mounted above my rear-view mirror and not having the benefit of a radar detector.

Does it power up when the dome light is on and not when it's off?

So, Dwight, what other mods do you suggest? At this point, I am waiting for ALTA to program the AccessPort (and better breather) for the '11 MCSa.

Today I drove my MCS to work in "Diagnostic Mode" just for the heck of it...

Lots if real-time readings to check while waiting on every stop light!

Cheers!

The WMW Performance BOV/Diverter Valve ! Another $60 eye opener. However, install is a total PITA.

PS: This is the second time I've answered you. The first one vanished!

Im confused everything i read about BOV's is that it does absolutly nothing for performance unless its been tuned in which case its a must to have a proper BOV.

But the reviews for the WMW performance BOV has excellent reviews for performance?!?!?!? what gives, is it really just all mental or is this piece different from other BOV's?

From what I understand, it's not really your typical BOV but more of a Diverter Valve.

Lots of information about it here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-opinions.html

Changed the oil RP. Washed the car inside and out. Put some new Music in whent to get coffee. Was not 1mil from house, windows down sunroof open. Bang!!! There goes the windshield!!! Something flew off a flatbed 18 wheeler strait into my line of sight. Back home now and needless to say I'm getting a new windshield, and switched to something stronger than coffee.

Got my estimated quote for the repair: $3,442.92

New back hatch, bumper, 2 rims, assorted trim and labor. I found it interesting that a new hatch made by mini is only like $400. They also quoted the right tail light as a BMW part @ $117. I wonder how, since they are aftermarket. Dummies.

Did you manage to stop the truck driver or just drove home?

I'm glad you are ok!

Called WMW today about the BOV. They suggested the Forge for my MINI. Needless to say I'll be waiting on that for a month or so, plus called a performance shop and it will be ~$100 to install. But based on what you and others say a performance BOV is well worth it.

Started my new clutch and LSD project. I tore everything down and removed my supercharger to replace the oil on both sides. I figured I may as well do it while it's all apart. Tomorrow I will remove the tranny and crack it open for my new LSD. My car looks really sad right now! I've been taking pictures and will post them when the job is complete.
