Although my new NY plates have been on for a couple weeks, I finally got my headlights de-yoked.

Today, I proceeded to load my power washer into the boot to be repaired. It tipped over and the oil seeped out of the engine and all over the posterior of my baby. It soaked onto my subwoofer located in the boot. What a F>>>>>> mess!

Just thought someone might care. I am depressed!

Dude, with a sub in my boot, too - I'm feeling your pain. Did it actually get into the driver itself? I wish you luck, my friend.

Replaced the orange bulb with a BMW bulb - got it from my MINI dealer. Part# 63 217 160 897. It's a silver bulb with an orange filament...

Plasti-dipped beltline trim. Matches the Rotas, JCW grille and painted headlight rings much better now Sorry for the crappy pic.

Managed to find a brand new jcw alcantara steering wheel on ebay for $300 and had it installed by the dealer for only 100 bucks.

It feels great and helps combat torque and bump steer dramatically! I can now drive with just the one hand wothout fearing for my life!

finally got a roof rack (thule)..now just need to get some bike attachments.. also would like to post pics soon so people can help me identify which rack it is (it looks brand new and the guy said it was pretty much new, but doesnt look like the rack on the site now) i would like to know what other cars it fits (if any) so i know how appealing it will be to thieves.

Camified mine today, though I had to go to the city, so I only got to drive about 4 miles to see if it blew up....it didn't. Started right up and sounded like I never opened her up. It seemed to run very nicely, but I thought I would run around a bit for a couple days, and than change the oil Saturday before I whip the snot out of it.

Gave it a quick wash, only to have a sprinkling of rain spot it all up.

The resulting dust patterns (it's even dusty here when it rains, unless it rains a *lot*) look kinda neat, though--kinda like freckles....

C ya,
Dutch

Friday I woke up at 5:30am, washed the car in the driveway, took a 10 second shower, grabbed a coffee and drove up to MINI Hq for the launch of MINI Takes the States to Philly!

Got up washed, dried, waxed, vacumed, leather treated the seats, polished the tires and drove to the DC MTTS at FedEx Field for the Mini cross. Got a great shot of red white and blue cabrios. Had a blast and free lunch! Came home and installed the MTTS grille badge on Sir James and called it a day.

Cheers!!!!

After following a thread here I did some research and changed my spark plug wires to a set of msd's. They look great. A little hard to install cause the size is larger.
I than washed my engine compartment.Tomorrow the whole car.

Installed an Alta 22mm rear bar, went for a ride through some twisties to try it out, washed it and actually made room in my garage so I can park it inside... It's been a MINI kinda weekend...
