Today, I washed Chase under the rain. Its has rained for 4 days straight, but she really needed a bath. When the rain stopped I dried and vacuumed. She looked great, and then it started raining again

Nudnik got new EBS Greenstuff brake pads on the rear brakes.

The odometer rolled over to 50000 miles on the post-install test drive.

The goomba that installed the previous set of pads back there didn't get the spring wire clip on properly on one side, and the pads on that side wore out very crookedly.

Luckily I found it in time.

I also have plugs and wires going in tomorrow morning. Gotta find my anti-sieze goop for the plug threads.

C ya,
Dutch

I ordered a Euro parcel shelf, center console organizer, and rear seat pulls from Mossmini yesterday at 4:30pm. Everything arrived at 10am today!!! and it's all installed. I had a hard time removing the knee bolster - it just wouldn't budge at all. But I found a NAM tip to pry it loose by wedging a long screwdriver wrapped in a towel under the steering wheel. Worked like a charm. Also the center console won't fit unless you remove the rubber mat first. My stuff will no longer slide down to the floor mats when I make sharp turns.
Now all I need to do is complete the claying that I started a few days ago, wax, and vaccuum the interior. It's soooo hot today - think I will just do the vaccuuming....

2 hrs later... vaccuuming done, and the entire interior Nero-ed. How gorgeous! I'm feeling inspired to keep going with the clay...

Today I cleaned and re-lubed the K&N air filter and swaped out the CD case for some new road tunes. I also took some long tweezers and cleaned all the bugs out of the radiator area. I'm waiting for my Aesthetic Creations MINI Wing over Union Jack stickers to cover the ugly warning labels on the visors.

Feels GOOD.

De-yolked the headlights

Today I installed a pair of chrome / amber turn signal lights. I got them from Autolumination for about $10. I accidentally bought the 180 degree instead of the 150's so I had to file down one of the stubs. I think I'm going to fix that error later on, but for now I'm happy with the cleaner looking headlights.

Installed Carbon Fiber shift ****, removed and painted down tubes, air vents and cup holder, then re installed. Wash, waxed and treated wheels with eagle 1 to keep brake dust off.

Sweet looking ride signcarver! Thanks for posting those pics. I've been thinking about doing the scoop and boot handle in CF too, and I really like how that looks on dark silver. It's nice and subtle, but for MINI enthusiasts it definitely stands out.

Today I temporarily installed my new Scangauge II so I could see what the code was the beast has been throwing since I put the foam air filter on.

P0130. Imagine that.

I traded it for a 2007 BMW Z4. The Mini was fun, but they have too many issues. The Z4 is even more fun!

Today I went and put in an order to the PA DOT for a vanity plate! They have a nice link for checking availability.

For $20 I do not know WHY I waited so long to do this.

Did the "Girls guide to coolant change" - Brilliant!
I used a shop vac on the bleed screw hole and got almost every drop of coolant out. (At least I assume so from the volume I had to replace.)
This has to be the easiest way to change coolant I have ever tried.

Installed Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates. WOW!! What a difference - and I don't have to worry about 'shrooming.

Also...installed Alta stickers. Not up to doing the pulley today. Feels much faster with just the stickers though.
