What did you do to your mini today?
Yeah I technically live in Huntsville but my job has me on the road more than at home.
I went ahead and installed the official "MINI" black bumper "step" vinyl. Now the few scratches from the previous owner have been covered, and the car actually looks very sharp from the behind. I love contrast
. I'll post pictures when I get my new phone on the 4th.
It wasn't terribly easy to install since I had two hard edged corners to deal with, and the vinyl was EXTREMELY thick and didn't want to bend (plus the way it was designed, there wasn't much vinyl past the edges, so it wanted to pull up from the car at first). After a lot of pressing with the squeegee and pushing a lot of soapy water out from under it over and over and over and over again, it finally gave in. It has a nice MINI logo on it, with different textured black stripes running horizontally. I love it!

The first photo was supposed to be the box pre-false floor but I failed on linking
This is what the box looks like/where the amps are:

The sub is a Rockford Fosgate P3S412 a 12 inch shallow mount the Kenwood amp is a KAC-X8405 and the other one I honestly don't know, it was donated by my bf to power the sub.

Gave it it's first oil and filter change.
Actually I did that to my better-half's MINI -- mine still has another 1000 miles before it needs a change. Good practice though. Probably the easiest (but not the cleanest) oil change I've done on any vehicle. Oil WILL run down your hand when you remove the drain plug (I did have a rag at the ready just for that). And I probably should have let the filter drain longer before removing canister completely -- have a pan ready to catch the spill.

The "star" tool is called a torx bit. They come in different sizes just like allen bolts do.
You can buy a tool for a few bucks for a cheap set set of torx wrench/bits.

PS. You may want to post this in a better section (like DIY or interior mods, etc) Posting something like this in a thread that is about mods that have been done is almost hijacking the thread and frowned upon. No slam, just friendly advice.

It'll be nice to have a little thump in the boot!
Quick detail. Hand washed, Meguiars Quick Detail on the outside and Interior Detailer inside, dressed the tires and vacuumed inside. Unfortunately the Prima Clarity and microfiber glass cloth I've been waiting for didn't show up until the afternoon when the 100 degree sun was baking my garage so I'll do the glass in the morning.
Nudnik got a quick bath at the local self-serv spray shack to knock off the big chunks, since I'm due for an oil change soon, and they throw in a thorough wash for free (which can be upgraded to a detail job for an extra $10) when you get your oil change. It's too hot here today in Hell's Forge, AZ to go out and do the windows with Stoner's, and I blasted pretty much all the bugs off the nose, so this will have to suffice for a bit, I think....
UPDATE: Once the sun sank below the trees and houses, it was cool enough to get the Stoner's going. I had *just* enough light to get it done, and to add some nice RAF roundel stickers to the rear quarter windows and one in the center top of the windshield. They look really MOD....

C ya,
