Finished replacing the two leaking power steering hoses that go to the reservoir. They go well the new pump and fan. Nice to see clean hoses with no oil dripping on the garage floor. Time to take it out for a ride.

What did I do to my Mini today? I fixed it. Same thing I did last weekend, same thing I'll do next week end, same thing I'll do for years to come. I swear to God this car is built like a house of cards. You fix one thing and 3 other unrelated things break. After fixing my water pump, I now have a thermostat sensor that makes the engine light go on because the coolant is "too cool", an AC leak that prevents my air con from getting cold, the aux/USB module stopped working on the radio, and I think I hear my rear breaks grinding.

It's like an abusive relationship that I won't leave :D

I try to explain to people that they're both the worst and best cars in the world. Love-hate relationships: it's a MINI thing.

It was a good day. I installed my cravenspeed dipstick, JB+, bluetooth obd2 wifi adapter, and synced it up to torque pro.

Installed the Recaros Sportster CS. I used the existing seat sliders and made custom brackets for the seats. Really comfortable...looking for ward to track day.

Drove mine to the dealership to have the amber check engine light investigated; sat for three hours while they replaced the vacuum check pump and thermostat. My dealer and I are getting way to friendly. I believe this is what VW called "Fahrvergnügen."

Got my Bridgestone driveguards installed today. Night and day ride quality difference from the stock continentals, which lasted 21k miles (rotated every 5-6k). Good riddance to them. <$600 with $70 off special (costco). Got them in 205 size up one from stock 195 (16" rims). Didn't get to test out at the limit handling, but turn in is still sharp. Feels like riding on clouds versus boulders, very highly recommended.

Those seats look sick! If I could justify a reason to put them in my DD I would haha but I don't think I can!

Looks great! Any details on the install? What did you do for the occupancy sensor on the passenger seat?

Thought I posted, over the weekend I did my first oil and filter change on my new to me 2012 MCS. Why the filter is located where it is can only be described as idiotic! Changed my plugs too!

A couple of weeks ago I placed a large order OEM parts from a MINI dealer that does internet sales. It seemed that they really did not want the business, because 30 hours later despite charging my card, they refunded the card and requested a bank wire transfer. This just pissed me off to no end considering I was standing in the middle of a field in Western North Dakota and had no way of doing a wire.

I ended up telling them just to cancel it. I got back home days later and I placed the order with ECS Tuning with all the part numbers from the vendor order. I got my parts today, which was awesome. Thanks guys for shipping a order that featured a few pain in the *** parts like a piece of glass and a back ordered JCW airbox kit.

Today, I found out that plumbers charge more per hour than my local MINI dealership. :(

Funny...I too was thinking of the PSS..but pretty expensive. I've been happy with the Bridgestone S-O4's on our Miata.
