I helped load Kensington onto a tow truck since he wouldn't start. On Monday, he drowned. We got 5.4" of rain and he flooded quite badly. I fear that this is probably the last day that I saw him.

Did your door seal shrink? I just ordered a new one, because mine did by the b-pillar.

Rollbar Windscreens for R59

Added these precision made, clear plastic windscreens from louis@vandendobbelsteen.com in Holland. Friction fit and very well made. Found him on Facebook, a quick e-mail, PayPal payment and they were received within 2 weeks with on-line package tracking provided.

Added the Mini Navigation Portable and white racing stripes. I was totally surprised to find out that in the US the Garmin isn't allowed to be positioned in other that the 10 or 2 o'clock positions on either side of the steering wheel. there are rivets preventing the units movement to the 12:00 position. After complaining, the rivets were removed and the unit works as I want it.

I'll post pictures of the stripes once there is light available.

Yea, the seal being 11 or so years old and for the most part it was dry and shrunk, at speed and hitting a small bump the window would whistle. Replaced the seal and its sorted out now.

Hopefully finishing up my install of brakes, rotors and shocks today....has taken me 3 days already and today I will hope to get the brakes calipers painted by the end of the day...already used the drill wire wheel on them and installed new pads so just for visual appeal I figured a nice coat of black high heat paint should keep them from getting worn again. Polished them up so nice I almost don't want too ..but I know they will get ugly again with no coating. fingers crossed I'm done with this today and can get back on the road again. Had no Idea it would be such a long process, but I took my time and really dedicated myself to getting it all right.

I finally got the Aero Kit installed last Sunday. Looks like I'll need to do some trimming of the front lower grille to accommodate for the larger FMIC. I'll get some pics after thats done

Wow... I'm really sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you've got a decent insurance provider that will take care of you.

Let us know how it turns out! Good luck!

what I do to my Mini today? I drive to Thailand in order to test if a Mini Cooper is a good car for long drives. Passed many uneven road, off road and all the way. After a long drive (10,000 miles), I notice my Cooper is still in good condition except the dust and dirt. Do hope I can learn more things from this website.

Sadly I brought my R56S to the stealership today to get my AC system pressure tested, and have my timing chain and tensioner checked out. Does anyone know the SIM # for timing chain issues in the 2009/2010 R56's? I have only so far found the one for the earlier R56's, sim 11 02 09 I think.
Past few days no air conditioning, lurching/hesitation, and awful racket when I cold start it/ first 10-15 mins on road.
