General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
You are leaving the MINI world, wish you nothing but the best. Please move on and do not look back. You had some bad experiences with MINI repairs that it sounds like you completed and ended up not fixing the issue. I think a newer/different vehicle suits your needs.
Perhaps we all can get back to a MINI related thread instead of getting defensive and attacking others.
Happy Holidays everyone!
AMEN! Happy Holidays All!
I am still missing my MINI while on vacation. We rented a honda civic .. BORING
Replaced the Mass Air Sensor on my non-S R56. The idle was a bit unstable and the throttle response was causing severe hesitation especially when loading the engine in a higher gear. I found a Bosh equivalent to the OEM part through NAM which is the exact fit for the unit it replaced. The end result is, far better improvement of throttle response and a stable idle. NOTE: I ordered my R-56 through the Mini website and took delivery on it June of 2010, it now has 128,234 miles on it with the original clutch. I would say at least a third of these miles are what I would call "Therapy" miles through mountain roads.
A bunch of really perfectly kept, well loved R53s popping up on this thread above. Wow! Great to see this.
And a very happy R56 owner running an original clutch with a new replacement Mass Air Sensor who appreciates the excellent "therapy" provided by these great driving cars. I do know what he means! ....Stick a picture up of your R56 when you get a chance so we can see it!
Debated between side scuttles or these side marker inserts. I'm really happy I chose the inserts. They are more subtle and look cleaner. I think they really look great with the Jack roof.
After clearing the bit of snow that fell on the driveway overnight, I decided to bring the Roadster out of the garage for a mini drive around the driveway for a few minutes. Just had to get it out into the sunshine one last time this year.
Happy New Year, everyone! Really looking forward to some dry and sunny top down driving weather.
