Yesterday I hardwired my V1 radar and concealed display next to my Tac. (Thanks to this forum the install was easy!) That was done just in time because I got a ALTA AccessPort today and I am now running the Stage 1 ECU flash. OMG I awoke the dragon! So far I am loving it. Now greed is setting in and I want stage 3. Must go sell plasma for new FMIC and exhaust!

I think those are appropriate priorities.

Finnaly got my m7 strut tower brace with the strut tower reinforcement plates in today. Quick and easy from m7. Also got the promo code. Saved me 20%. Surprised me how fast the shipping was to come up to Canada. Clean look and a 5 minute install.

Wiggled the bypass valve, and got all my MINI's power back. I think it might be time for a Detroit Tuned BPV...

Looks like a short story on that sticker, Yoda.

The Kid got an awesome bath today - 2 hours inside and out after about 3 weeks of grime. Then I rose in my private helicopter for some aerial shots.

Yeah, not really - if the pic below were a Veyron, you'd have all believed it though.

That sticker is sad but true... I would like a copy on my garage cabinet.

Sometimes it seems California is out to kill anyones hobby, that isnt the enviornmentalist hippie way. That's ok though I live in Colorado, I hate the California ways. I will keep my guns (None of which are leagal in CA), I will keep my automotive hobbies (None of my cars have emission controlls), and I will continue to smoke, drink, and be happy, the good old fassion way (Burning hydrocarbons in mass quantities, not giving a rats *** about other peoples feelings about it.) And I will get back to my home distilled un taxed jar of liquer here in Colorado.

I drove with the roof down for the second time this year. We usually don't get many days in January to do this in NY

Removed the airbag warning stickers. I think this is the single best thing you can do to improve the look of a car.

Used the denatured alcohol on a rag for 20 minutes method. Stickers peeled right off. You can hardly tell they were ever there.

Mini mess

Bought " Ultimate Wrap " extended warranty, only to find out it covers nothing they said it did. No motor, transmission , or anything of importance. This warranty wraps around the orignal warranty, but my 2005 didn't have any , so I paid 2100.00 for a waranty that is useless. Seems odd to me that 45 days after buying my mini, front strut splits, powering steering hose and valve gasket start leaking, also had wrong coolant in it. Was told it had run flats on it, only to find out later, that it does not. The car is cute, gets lots of looks, nice to put to top down on nice days , but I am not happy and wish I had never bought this car, my gut tells me this is just the beginning of a long bumpy road of costly repairs.

I was given an insulated lunch bag from CA by my former boss, and it had a sticker on it. The sticker proclaimed that the bag was manufactured from materials known by the State of California to be carcinogenic. I keep my cargo tie-down straps in it.

I bet the same carcinogens are in the sticker itself.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I have a hard time imagining them selling many of those insulated lunch bags with that sticker on 'em, except possibly as novelty items....

What do you mean you wiggled the BPV and got your power back? Do explain because I've been trying to figure out if I've lsot power or just gotten use to it. Boost feels like it's not coming on as early or as strong as before.

I'll bet there's a strong sticker lobby too.

That sounds like a BPV with a broken spring. I had one in mine when I bought it (used) in 2009. I did the VGS mod, and it helped a bit, but the DT bypass valve fixed it much better.

If you peer down into the area near the intake hose from the airbox, and follow it down to the throttle body, you'll be looking in the right general area to find the BPV. If the little lever on the side of it which is hooked to the black plastic rod coming out of the black plastic vacuum diaphragm housing isn't kept snugly against its stop by the spring inside the diaphragm housing, you're losing boost, and you need to replace the BPV.

HTH!

It is ethanol with additives. To keep people from drinking it... because heaven forbid having someone mix drinks with it!
