So for today's amusement, I installed the MINI-Madness 22mm rear sway and the OE rear mud flaps....
Hey RJKimbell - I got PHOTOS!

Today I decided that I'm going to take the coilovers (ST - $825 OBO shipped) and rear sway bar (ALTA 22mm - $140 OBO shipped) off this weekend. Less than 4,000 miles on each.

Anyone got dibs?

Man I want a sway bar. I was hoping it was going to be a 19mm so it would be a bit cheaper.

Why? Are you getting ready to sell the car or just don't like the ride with Coilovers and

Heard back from MMG. Turns out they their pattern may be off so they want me to measure and let them know how much bigger it needs to be so they can make a larger template to prevent issues like mine in the future.

That gives me a warm fuzzy.

That's great news, Nick! Glad to see they followed up with something other than that stock answer. Hopefully they'll get those stripes lined up this time too!

I'm installing new Redlinegoods boots and center armrest covers tonight. Maciek helped come up with a great design to go with the black jack door armrest wraps from Gobadges. Really excited to see how it'll all look together. I wish it weren't such a pain to do the shift boot though. This will be my second set of custom boots and when I did the shift boot the first time I remember specifically thinking 'sure glad I never have to do this again.' Hmph, last time until a new design inspiration hit anyway.

Yep, I'll be putting the car up for sale in a couple weeks. If you go back a few pages in this thread you will find out why.

The Lotus is going to be awesome Drew, but not as versatile as a MINI

Too bad you couldn't swing both....

Got my 2nd OBD cable for NCSexpert! It installed on Com8 and I can't figure out how to get it onto Com1 (which is in use now?) but I'm gonna go test it after this episode of Bones!

Made a quick dinky clip of my exhaust. It is really coming into its own. Nice deep and get good pops now. This is from my phone so like I said. Dinky.

Hahahaha!! I told you it was dinky!!! I meant it. For some reason it cut some off and I didn't feel like redoing it.

Got stripes. People have said it before, and I'll say it again: If you need anything vinyl related, Lyle at Vinyl Styles is The Man! He did viper stripes in dark anthracite and dark orange, side stripes in dark orange, and did the "4" and "s" in the same orange.
Sorry for the filthy vehicle. It's been raining. I'll post better images when it stops raining.

Very nice!

My (sadly, now ex-) GF, who is a very talented graphic designer, helped me with my rally "stripes", turning the photo-chopped JPG file with my original idea into an Adobe Illustrator file the vinyl shop could use, and did the installation on my car.

They're black reflective vinyl, so they change a lot depending on the angle of the light. At some angles they're about invisible, then as the light moves, they fade up through brown, golden brown, gold, shoreline gold (a Fender guitar color), and finally bright silver before fading back through those same colors backwards to black. Flash on the camera really pops 'em, too.

C ya,
Dutch

Jeremey...that is a fantastic looking stripe design especially on a Countryman. Love that you did the "4" as well, certainly makes great use of your color.

Wow that sounds like some fun vinyl to play with.

Thanks. We kicked around a few designs before settling on this one. Really happy with how it turned out.

It is. It's very interactive with nearby light sources. I was down in Sierra Vista over Christmas, at a supermarket, and the streetlights in the parking lot were positioned just right for the stripe to do a nifty 3D optical delusion--it looked like it was floating next to the car rather than stuck to it!

You could have a lot of fun with this material on a black car....

I'm sure I'll be back in a MINI at some point.

A Lotus is one of the most impractical cars out there, but luckily versatility isn't something I need right now.

It felt AMAZING! I went through sheer hell to get this thing off the ground. I'll miss my Saab (my fourteenth and likely last) but I forget all about it when I slip behind the wheel of the MCS.

Only picture I have so far, after taking delivery-- three trips to the dealer, finally took it home after four hours there yesterday. And I had to go back today for the winter tires and toll transponder I left in the Saab. Oy.

Had a mid-winter detail, high 50's in Boston today... after 2-3" of snow this past Saturday.
(notice the DWS tire's asymmetrical tread pattern and the rear wiper delete...)
CAH-LEAN JUSTA'!
