Since I'm relatively new I'm going to post what I did today and yesterday

Yesterday, I installed my Nokya Hyper Yellow foglight bulbs (what a PITA to get to them), installed yellow Lamin-x on the fogs, and made my belt line trim red (used the thick 3M pinstriping sticker stuff to cover the chrome). Later on I also snapped some shots of it but I haven't gotten to uploading them to Flickr yet.

Today I installed my Nokya Hyper Yellow high beam bulbs and was going to install my new Bosch Evolution wiper blades but I messed up when ordering and only ordered one... doh! So instead I put the 1 aside and ordered the other one, will install them both when the new one gets here on Wednesday (I <3 Amazon Prime free 2 day shipping also, they have the Bosch Evolution blades on sale right now for $7.97 in the 18" size, not a bad deal at all).

Cleaned up these bad boys. Debating on whether to sell em or install though. Testing waters in the classifieds. Also tested my cravenspeed license plate holder to replace my hideaway plates for when I lower my car more.

Evasive*******Those are really nice looking rims. I'd keep 'em but I'm sure they'd sell very easy if that's what you want.

Thanks! Still debating whether to go aftermarket or go with the factory look.

What do you think?

Webspokes aren't too bad. They're 22.3lbs vs the 25.1 that my S-Lites are. They're even lighter that the R90's which are 24.1. Factory spec wheels are built for durability so it does pick up some mass.

Those are my favorite OE wheels from MINI.

I still can't decide if I should keep my OE Challenge wheels or go after market for my upcoming summer set (Breyton Race GTS-R maybe?).

Yesterday I took my 2010 MCCS to the dealership for the water pump recall and to fix the cold start rattle. This is the second time it's happened (only 31,000 miles) so hopefully the problem gets a permanent fix this go around...

They gave me a Countryman S (not-all4) loaner for the time being. I must say, the difference in handling is night and day IMO. Feels like I'm driving a small boat compared to a go-kart like my Clubman.

Personally, I'd keep 'em. I'd put some tires on them though. LOL.

Tires are overrated and it'll add more weight to the wheels

Yep - other wheels are sold, just waiting for the buyer to pick them up. I’m surprised at the Bridge Spokes in black, too. Seem like a completely different wheel. Yesterday I got the from two people in the same parking lot.

I've not looked at Bridge spokes because they are a little more common, but, they look really good in gloss black. I too have a base pepper white, soooo......

drove through the entrance gate to my complex. half-way through it came crashing down on my mini and now theres a nice scratch from the front of the roof all the way to the spoiler.

need to find a body shop to see if it's just the clear coat or if it made it down to the paint/primer.

on the bright side, if it's deep and i need to get it repainted, i might change the roof color.

That would make me plenty mad. What did the complex have to say about it?

1. they said it couldn't happen unless i drove too fast through the gate or tailgated someone into the complex. 1) there's a speed bump under the gate, so only an idiot would gun it through the gate. 2) unless you ride the bumper of the car ahead of you, the gate is closed before you can get there. since i have a key card, there's no need to do this. plus, when you swipe a key card, the card reader blinks green and beeps before the gate goes up. there's no possibility that i drove through it without seeing or hearing both.

2. it's not our responsibility because we have a sign that says we're not responsible for damage to vehicles. this is complete ********, because you can't disclaim liability for something you control simply by posting a sign. if your equipment malfunctions and causes damage, it's your fault. end of story.

in the end, the cost to fix or repaint the scratch isn't worth the fight. regardless, i only had to post a $200 security deposit when i moved in and would be more than happy to lose it.

Certainly it would be a huge pain to actually fight, but strong words certainly get noticed. I know where I work that things happen rarely for those who spend the most money but for those who complain the most. Sometimes its worth being the pain in the neck especially when your right!
