Picked-up some rino ramps on sale - will save them for later. Also got my lumbar retrofit parts - finally arrived from Germany. Now I need to work up the courage to install them.

There is a lumbar install pdf in the how to section, doesn't look too bad.
Good luck.

Yup I've got that PDF printed out. I was nervous just changing out the city and fog light bulbs on my new car. LOL. Once it gets older I won't be so worried.

Was driving to get groceries... on a six lane road going about 60km/h. I see something moving on the right side in the air... then it's about to him me and it looks fairly sizable... and then a loud bunch of noises of something hitting my car.

Damn chunk of metal has flown into my windshield. Must have been at least 6 inches long. I am guessing it was steel - I can see rust residue on the windshield.

Just lucky was driving slow I guess. Have two minor scratches on the passenger side windshield upper corner. No cracking - hope it's ok... Also the vertical plastic black trim piece got chipped a little. Was very lucky I guess such minor damage. Stupid poorly maintained city streets with garbage everywhere.

Anyways pardon the phone pic... Car is very dirty due to snow the other day:

walk - scary, bro. If it's any consolation, I have probably the same chip out of that piece of trim - a good sized rock at 75 mph did it. Loud - like *pull over to make sure a piece of the car wasn't missing* kind of loud.

My DBA 4000 rotors arrived today! They get installed Sunday morning.

Walk....lucky it deflected and didn't harpoon the window.
My wife seems to get rock chips on every car she has ever driven.
2011 Nissan Juke, within 3 months, cracked windshield.
Prior 2001 Mazda Tribute, 1 chip, and 2 windshields replaced.
Me, I'm lucky. Now watch, tomorrow I'll get totaled.

Washed the car and wanted to get a few more pics. Haven't taken any since delivery of the car. Also wanted to play around with the new scene modes on my camera added via recent firmware update. These are all as-is from the camera (except for the license plate blur). I like the red scene mode - works OK I guess:

But I prefer black and white:

This is the yellow scene mode... I completely forgot to turn on my yellow fogs:

Went on a very fun toy run from Prestige Mini to HUMC with my son to deliver presents to the Hospital where we spend a lot of time, and it is my sons birthday and he loved being around all the Minis
A good day, good people, good driving,a good cause.

A great run with 35 Minis

Mr Bean loved the curves

Singer05, sounds like you two had a blast together and looks like you were even leading the pack (that is a blast after all)! I must agree that December birthdays are the BEST and are even better when in a MINI!

Thanks cereal it was a great day indeed! I was 5th in the convoy that was led by a beautifully restored classic Mini from Prestige. If you check the twisty pic the car I was behind confused me at first because I saw no exhaust After the first stop and asking Tim the owner who informed me it was a full electric Mini there were some great cars and owners there, I'm sure a few on this forum and I hope to find some more pics of a fun day.

That’s the second MCS I’ve seen that has Cooper scuttles... I couldn’t wait to get mine off, ha ha! Really like Watson’s exhaust. I’d love to find a shop that could do one for the Cooper - every time I try and search for exhausts, I only come up with MCS versions.

Haha I guess you want you can't have. I don't know I don't really like the look of the s scuttles sometimes. I love the new cooper ones and the JCW ones but I can't bring myself to spend that much money on something that doesn't really do anything. Ya I love my exhaust. Check out performancepeddlerwholesale.com that's where I got my muffler and tips on the cheap! Then had the muffler shop install it. I'm sure you can find a universal muffler on there to fit!

Pulled out the rear seats in preparation for the seat delete cover going in tomorrow. Pulled of the headlight rings to be painted with my new boot handle (black). Need to find a new grill to paint black since I will most likely not be able to put mine back on after removal. Crossed my fingers that my slipstreams will be in next week and on the car.

One crappy thing, I installed M7 strut tower defenders and they hit my aftermarket ballasts and put a small ding in either side of the hood. FML on that.

Let's see, I picked it up from the dealer on Tuesday night and so far I've put on the stubby Alta antenna, swapped out the chrome grill surrounds for the JCW black, ditched the RF's and replaced them with Conti Extreme Contact DWS, put in the rubber boot liner, and put on the "Objects in mirror are losing" decals on the mirrors. Window tinting tomorrow and stripes on Monday. The stripe guy is also wrapping the headlight and tail light trim. Habanero is coming together nicely. Pictures to follow...
