Washed and detailed Habanero and discovered that my black passenger door handle cover was missing.

Washed exterior by hand finally. The quick power wash last week was not cutting it and left lots of road salt everywhere.

Wanted to take some pics on the way home before it gets all dirty. Weather looks nice for a few days so might actually stay that way for a bit.

In this pic you can see a lot of steam coming out of the hood scoop. I mean a lot - looks like it's a little mean - partially capture here in black and white. The top of the engine was a little wet from water getting through the vent holes from the wash and after some driving around it got rather steamy.

Happy birthday to Mr. Bean ( Rowan Atkinson ) 1-06-12 ( Age 57). Have you thought of E-mailing your pictures of the kiddies washing " Mr. Bean" to " Mr. Bean" ?

Installed the front mudflaps, they look like they will cut down on the crud on the side of the car! Should protect it as soon as the salt hits the roads here too

Well this sounds familiar! Just dropped mine off the jack stands after finishing installing both front and back. I'll certainly be happy to have less salt covering the beautiful British Racing Green!

Picked up a Rockford Fosgate pbr300x4 amp (That sucker's TINY!) and a RF p3s sub/box for the mini. The box fits in the boot recess quite nicely (angled, so not quite flush, but pretty good, and leaves a bit of room for the factory wheel change kit.

I need to mount the amp and adjust it, but I think it'll sound better than my $80 walmart system and it definitely takes up less space.

Added a blackjack to the center stack. Couldn't find a vendor who had them for 2011's, so ordered a netbook skin and made my own.

Nicely done. I always appreciate mods that people have done themselves, especially when they have to get "resourceful".
Too often people have someone else do what they could have done on their own, and consequently miss out on the satisfaction of saying, "Damn, I really did that!"

Installed the Mini Do More hitch I picked up a few weeks ago on the for-sale board here.

The original owner wasn't entirely accurate--he said it was used, but I'm stuffed if I can find a scratch or even dust on the thing....

Also put the BSH decal on to match the nice, stiff motor mount lurking under the bonnet....

C ya,
Dutch

Washed it, then took photos for my Escort radar detector install post.

Also: The tunnel spoke wheels may be the easiest wheels to wash ever.
