What did you do to your mini today?
Still gonna be a wheel tease about the summer wheels though.
Saying no has never been my strong suit so we'll see just how long this lasts.
Had an H-Sport RSB and NM Engineering lower engine mount bushings installed on my '09 MC. Wow! What a difference! Even with the stock shocks, Cary corners like a champ now, flat and stable and with the bushings shifts are so much more solid. I really can't believe how much of a difference these such simple, inexpensive mods made. Saturday Koni FSD shocks will be installed. Can't wait!!
Plastidipped my gas door and driving light rings (front portion of the chrome light). I couldn't take the whole thing off without cutting and re-crimping the wires, so I left the backs chrome. Looks like crap.
Also tried to paint the interior trim pieces from light gray to gloss black. Too cold, or the paint is old, or the prep wasn't good, (or all three) and it came out looking like crap (up close). Gonna try again in the future when it's warmer.
Also received my BMW/usb cable. Spent the last couple hours trying to unzip and install all the software to get NCSexpert to work on my netbook. Hopefully I can get it installed and finished tonight for coding tomorrow.
Going to get the pulley put on tomorrow morning!

Took JiMini to get the pulley installed, and they found a leaky (and cracked, previously repaired) valve cover. They also confirmed my suspicions regarding the motor mount. They didn't have a motor mount available, so they gave me a rental:

Then I got home and found my GoBadges had arrived:

The cool thing, the warranty company (Zurich) didn't flinch or complain about covering the parts and labor for the motor mounts and gaskets. Can't wait to pick JiMini up tomorrow and take the long windy way home...

Sorry for the delay, just saw this. It came that way (carbon fiber). I believe they also sell a non-carbon fiber one that can be painted to match the body color.
Sorry, should have read further first. yes, **** has it right, its the carbon fiber one. Now if only I could afford the carbon fiber covers for the power mirrors!
Nice badges, Nick.
I’ve always wanted to know how much my OEM Bridge Spokes weigh, especially since they feel so much lighter than my current aftermarket wheels (almost sold). I can literally feel the difference when I swap them in the winter. But I don’t have a scale here in the house...
So today, since I was taking my last wheel from the tech shop where they were being powder coated (I work in a high school) I decided to stop by the nurse’s office and weigh it there.
You might imagine the looks on peoples faces...
That scale’s top notch - 19.75 lbs for anyone who wants to know.

Interesting, with regard to the Bridge-spokes' weight.

Received an unexpected courier delivery yesterday which contained the MINI board game, wall mount key holder, couple Canada brochures and a key-chain.
I already have one from my previous MINI so I may sell it if there is any interest.
Engine noise has gone back to normal. No idea if the timing chain was going wonky but will get it checked eventually. Squeal noise also gone but I do hear a little squeak sometimes when I shut off the engine. Rattle from passenger side is now intermittent - damn you British factory worker(s) who built my car! Hearing low speed grinding sometimes which I think are my tires - way too lazy to put the summer tires on to test.

Where are the pictures then?
