Windows tinted today! Standard 5% all the way around and Ceramic 50% on the windshield. Can't tell much of a difference in the pics because I took the after pics at a different angle. But the outside is very obvious.

Removed the intercooler and bypass valve to make space for the new coolant hoses. Found oil in the intercooler and bypass valve. Is that normal?

You can see the oil dripping out of the horn from the bypass valve to the intercooler..

View inside the intercooler..

You can see a large oil puddle in the area where the horn connects to the bypass valve .. Does anyone know if this is normal or a bigger issue??

2003 Tails/Rear Fog To 05/06 Euro Tails / Rear Fog Light

Swapped out rear tails on my 03' to the Euro Spec 05/06's that have the yellow yolk at the top of the light instead of middle.

https://www.ecstuning.com/News/R50_R...hts/ES2804277/

Did those a while back from ECS Tuning, but finally got around today finishing it up the rest of the kit. ( Kit was 05/06 tails/lower rear fog, harness, bushing wire connector, zip ties - allows 02-04 owners to install the face lift tails/fogs. Unfortunately these kits are NLA.

And installed a black/yellow Schroth Harness to seats. It really locks you into the seat allowing you to sense/read more of what the car is doing...nice mod and not uncomfortable at all.

Well that was the 4th post in this thread -- 17,841 posts, and over 6 years ago. Today I traded-in "Der Krautenküper". My better-half sold hers a little while ago, so now we are MINIless. We decided it was time to downsize the fleet (4 cars for 2 people is a lot), so both MINIs went towards a more practical 4-door sedan.

Sad to see them go, but life moves on.

So that means there will be some MINI items, (Gen2 and Gen3) up for sale in the classifieds in the near future -- oil filter kits, wheels, floormats, etc. So watch for the ads.

Sorry to see that happen... MINIless is a tough state to be in!! I was MINIless for a long time and life was just OK.

MINI does come in a really "sensible" 4 door! It's not a sedan, but it's even more usable than a sedan... the MINI Cooper Clubman. The nearly ultimate useful MINI that has retained it's tossable road manners, although at a more sophisticated level of ride. The cost is up there in the high catergory, but gently used ones are starting to pop up here and there.

Which sedan did the MINI's distill down to?

Wash dry wax. Used a tip I saw on NAM (blow water out seams with leaf blower!!)
Also added the sticker I had made at cafe press. If Ild do it again- I wouldn't use them- it's about half the thickness of a typical bumper sticker and prob won't last too long. Oh well. Live and learn.

Looks great! Leaf blower might throw dust back on the car no? I use my compressed air gun to get those areas!

Thanks man. Got one of those too I like for getting the seams of the leather seats coupled with a shop-vac.
The blower is a small electric one. No to worried about dust and it appeared to blow clean.
The real problem is finding a new "issue" everytime I wash it. Ding, light scratch, yellow pimples from DPW lining streets, you know?

On Saturday. Swapped out the front rotors. 2 thumbs up for ECS customer service. The rotors I had were not feeling right so they sent 2 new ones. The braking is smooth and no vibration.

Those are some nice 328mm rotors, we carry those kits also. I think they looks very close to the design of the gen 2 JCW caliper ~ 8mm larger then the brembo gt kit , the gen2 JCW brembo factory are only 316mm , the GP2 rotors are 330mm so the stoptechs are huge.

Wow those are big, like your EB full painted aero kit also.

Thank you!
Got a question, not sure but you might have an answer to. Would you happen to know if any 17" Konig rims will fit this setup? I read on some options with BBS, OZ and SSR rims, but cannot find anything for Konig rims.

That would be very close, i would play it safe with 18" but the JCW Gp2 will fit with spacers on 17 Challenger wheels. The JCW GP2 calipers are tucked, the stoptechs might be a little to big on the caliper. Do you have 17" wheels in any make to test the barrel size ? I know only certain size 17" ssr, oz, and team dynamics will work.

Here is a template guide:
