I feel very bad for you and Barnaby! I was just passing on some knowledge for those who did not know about this.
I apologize for getting so sensitive to the situation. It has just been a crappy few days with no car and trying to figure all this out.

With what you are talking about being correct I actually tried it out on my MINI when it was overheating and for some reason no hot air at all was coming out. It was almost like the AC was on, I wonder if the heater core is also bad..

Had the tires rotated and balanced. I've put over 5k miles on my mini in 3 months! I'm headed to WAY (I love being local to him) on Friday to pick up his LED interior light kit and the pulsar module for the 3rd brake light!

Had the same thing happen on another car... in my case, the water pump was frozen and the coolant wasn't flowing through the system. The coolant in the heater core wasn't hot enough and the air coming out was cool.

Maybe your water pump is bad. Check it out in case you need to factor in a water pump/super charger rebuild into the cost of your repair.

Thank you. I've got ghost stripes but not as bad as I thought they would be. I already miss the stripes. Think I'm going with a 5 Viper Stripe this time

At this point I guess anything is possible but I just replaced the water pump about 3 months ago along with the whole cooling system and flush..

Replaced 2009 Toyo Proxes with new Falken Ziex ZE950s, 215/35R18 & 215/40R18 and ordered hub-centric 5mm spacers for front. Word of warning, if you buy the cheap "one size fits all" spacers, make sure they are centered, mine were not after the installation of the new tires and the front wheels would shake on acceleration. They were off by about 1/8th of an inch.

This (new boot badge)

New badge (Amazon: no pins on back and not quite as nice as OEM- kind of a retro feel)... live and learn. I like it tho...

Then on and off with this project...

Vise chain to stop crank

Puller

Notice scoring at 10:00.
No codes not catastrophic failure.

I was able to seperate it with a little pull.
New gel damped CP on the way.

Went and picked up my MINI at the dealer in KC. Now time to do some troubleshooting and see if I can get him back on the road. He's too good looking to let go of yet!

Haha. True. Black roof on red was my very close second color choice when I orders back in 2004. Very cool combo.

I guess this means I am officially done with the rebuild. Put a couple "go fast" stickers on to finish it up. Detroit Tuned and CP
