My BARNABY LIVES TO SEE ANOTHER DAY!!! Thanks to memo79 we were able to switch out the coolant hoses, fill and bleed the system, and hook the car up to a computer. The coolant system is doing its job and I am the happiest MINI owner alive. I may not have to get rid of the car after all. Now to slowly build trust in the car again and monitor the coolant level. Thanks memo!!! Cheers all!
Good to hear! I've been following your story with Barnaby. Glad you get to keep motoring together!

Thanks! I have continued to drive it short distances and no problems. I will keep working up my confidence with this car, but I am so happy I get to motor on as well!
I also removed the Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve after only 500 miles. The way the car drives is totally different in my opinion, better gas mileage and smoother shifting after resetting the ECU.
Overall it was a good weekend but I discovered I have a leaky expansion tank. Time to get a SS one!!
Well What i did with my MINI Today i just bought her she is a dark silver or grey and is a loaded cooper s and she moves she came with a k&n cone filter and intake system and the sweet sound of the turbo wow and she has her papers of her beauty upkeep and she is a 2010 hardtop

Over the long weekend I finished my mini project. I have a 05 Mini cooper S JCW, It started out as just replacing the old clutch with a Valeo single mass flywheel. Turned into replacing:
Control arm bushings
Full tie rods/PS boots
Waterpump
Theromstat/Housing
Oil pressure sender
Oil cooler gasket
Innner/Outer ball joints
Oil pan gasket
Front/Rear swaybar end links
Radiator fans (stage 1 fans didn't work)
Passenger side motor mount
Steering knuckles (bolt head broke off my old ones )
Front strut mounts
Coilovers
Starter
Coolant expansion tank
Phew. I'm still waiting for a strut brace, and I ordered a lower stress brace from mini madness.
Drives like a brand new car now.

I upgraded my coil pack, spark plug wires, and spark plugs.
Went with Way Motor Works ignition package which includes his top recomendations. So I got the Screamin Demon coil pack, NGK Platinum cold heat range spark plugs, and WMW Wires.
So far I can actually tell a noticeable difference in the throttle response and idle. The car seems to be a bit less jumpy when idling in gear in traffic as well. I just put a fresh tank of gas in so we'll see if my fuel mileage is any better.
It's been a while since I've posted here. This past week has been a busy one for Pepper. Here's the rundown...
DONE
- New Spyder F56 style head lights
- iJDMtoy Projector fog lights
- Stripped and redipped all chrome, badges, fender lights, and my hood scoop
- Much needed tire rotation
- Replaced faulty Thermostat
- Helix FMIC
- Removed front plate
- Interior detail, exterior wash
TO-DO
- Plug license plate holes
- Install front tow hook license plate holder
- Order HID kits for all four projectors
- Plasti-Dip rims
- Replace dead reverse light
Drove the 33 miles to meet some retirees at a breakfast gathering in South Portland, Maine. After pulling out of our driveway, I heard a car approach from behind. It's a super bad picture, but if you look closely, you'll see it's a new Clubman S in either Melting Silver or Moonwalk with a White top. They were in a hurry and passed me pretty quickly, disappearing down the road like they were heading to a fire.
Very nice looking Mini, coming and going. Wish I could have taken a better picture, but this encounter was brief.
I tried a wave, but didn't see the wave returned as they flashed by. That Clubman was only the second one I've seen here in Maine. This one had a Maine plate on it.
Installed a DDMWorks cold air intake, UNI filter, and SAMCO silicone induction hose. (Thanks Way!)
Once I realized the hose needed to be trimmed a bit on both ends it went a lot easier.
Removing the old airbox and putting in the new one was easy.
Replaced the camshaft position sensor that recently died. CEL code P0340.
Very straightforward process and he runs SIGNIFICANTLY different/better. Much more spunky now and alot more performance back. I guess that shows how bad my old sensor was…
Installed a Helix intercooler on my 2013 JCW this morning. Took me forever to take off the front bumper because I had to take off the driving lights and also had so many problems with the trim fasteners. I had to break one fastener, and two others were stripped. I thought I was not going to be able to even take off the front bumper, but I managed to force them off and get the bumper off after about 3 hours.

sweat jcw MINI love the color scheme i just cleaned and detailed myself on the outside. I've got one question would it hurt to remove the inside part of my scoop or can i open it up more but keep the grilling in it just cut the honey comb out
I drove the 180 miles to the MINI dealer in Oklahoma City. My R58 had the CEL yellow symbol lit up. 18700 miles my first CEL and the Coupe was running great.
I left the MINI with them they gave me New S Clubman to drive. 3 hours later they called and the S Coupe was ready. The Code was p2421. The Evaporator vent valve was not opening. Part of the fuel emissions system. They replaced the valve , and while they were at it. Replaced the cabin micro filter and flushed the brake fluid and put new wiper blades on.
Good service, all covered by warranty.
I still love to drive this car, it is not quiet, it rides hard, but it a blast to drive. The 2016 Clubman was a nice car but did not bring the smile to my face the Coupe does.
Lets Motor!!
I drove 180 miles home and did not mind the trip.

More pics in my thread.
Awesome! So that did the trick? And did you have to take the engine mount out for that ?
