Totally agree. I really haven't seen a color combo I didn't like

If it's on a MINI, I like it

What year did they have that deep gold color? Striking!

Yesterday, folded down the rear seat and picked up my 355'' chevy block and crankshaft from the machine shop. Nice fit!

Thanks! How are you liking the DoS? How hard was the install? I might have to bite it and get on the group buy before month end.

Rotated wheels/tires - the fronts after ~12K are looking very sad. The rears look much better. New tires are in order in a few weeks. Probably switch to non-rft's. Anybody know where I can get a cheap 17" spare?

Changed the oil for the third time in ~12K miles. I never let my oil go more than 4K miles on my cars. Cheap insurance.

Washed 'er up real good.

I received my new Mini S hard top last week: I ordered a custom shift **** and attempted to change the ****. The **** unhooks from the manual shifter pretty easy. However. with the new 2011 boot, how do you remove the boot without destroying it?

congrats!... you have you gently pry around the silver ring at the bottom of the shift boot then that whole little piece will pop up and you can detatch the boot from that...good luck and pics when your done

2011 boot replace

Thanks for the quick reply: this one has me stumped: I don't want to destroy the leather boot. Is there a special tool?

i used a pry tool and kind of stuck my hand on the inside of the ring over the boot and trying to lift it a bit to fit the pry tool in between... if that made sense... you can also use a flat head screw driver with electric tape wrapped around it to prevent scratching...

Check around, there's gotta be a club around you.

If not, just plan a run on here and invite some people.

In the SoCal forum, there's a guy trying to start a new club in Huntington Beach
