boot and bonnet stripes

"Do these stripes make my boot look fat?"

I got the stripes added on Friday.

Yep, that IS a two Mini driveway.

Probably not, unless you have bright lights shining my way--they're reflective color-change black stripes....

We just had another haboob earlier this week. That's two this month. I had to drive home from work in the tail end of this one. PHX looked like it was fogged in. For some reason this one had white-ish dust rather than the brown dust in the last one....

Sacaton? On the Gila River rez?
I drive past there a couple times a month on the back road out though Coolidge, since it's much nicer going that way than down I-10 to The Old Pueblo....

Finally got around to changing the oil. I won't admit to how long it has been since my MINI's last oil service. *blush* At least it only had something like 4k on the oil. lol

Yesterday, my AUX input arrived from HERE. It was one of the cheaper AUX I could find. Installation was quick and painless and came with detailed directions. Now I can rock out with the iPod or Android....

Honestly it looks horrible and dangerous. I would ditch it. +1 for creativity though.

Thanks for the video.

Finally installed and hooked up the oil pressure gauge's sender. The wire pigtail for it has been bundled up and sitting on top of my coolant reservoir for a while now.

So far, no runs, drips, or errors....

Tanxs! I came up with the idea for the design, a graphic designer friend of mine from the local MINI club helped translate and tweak that design from an idea hacked together in photochop to a file the vinyl shop could use, with the result you see in the video.

The music is all me. I wrote it, played the bass and all the guitars, and programmed the drums (a sequencer and samples are a lot easier to work with than a real drummer outside of a recording studio and sound good enough for demos). I still need to write lyrics for it (and many others I have sitting around).

Dutch

I finally got around to replacing the left front wheel speed (ABS) sensor. So now the 'trifecta' of lights on my dashboard are gone!

Let's see if this sensor lasts longer than 3 years (how much life I got out of the previous one). 3rd one's a charm, right?

Installed my battery disconnect switch and routed the wiring through the firewall to the batt terminals...still need to run the 4 pin line for the remote tail / brake line assembly but the whole one-step-at-a-time thing seems to be working. Pictures as soon as I figure out how to post em!

Stopped by the MINI Markham Festival. Saw several very nice classic MINIs among a bunch of newer 1st/2nd gen Coopers. Interestingly, there were no Coutrymans when I was there.

I really liked these Sparco wheels:

This MINI won a best modified prize. The sound from that car was great:
