No pics of the new exhaust on the rear end of your baby.. I honestly think that that is the sexiest part of the mini but hey, I must be a a-s-s guy lol

Installed Euro armrest
Ordered new 3D Gobadges
Carwash and vacuum

Tomorrow the car goes to the dealer for the alarm install and to have the computer reflashed for the window-shuts-and-then-opens-halfway problem

You know what your right. I don't know what I was thinking. I should go take some more! That exhaust does make the butt look rather sexy!

Wife followed me to dealer to drop of my 07 MCS. Since Friday morning I think it's developed the death rattle. Happened Friday and Saturday morning but this morning it was normal, just the lifters rattleing a little. Temp about 45 degrees. Car just hit 62,600 miles and tensioner never messed with. I suppose it's my turn. No warranty but at least it's paid for.
Only other issue I've ever had is the thermostat leaked.

K, so it was two days ago, but I replaced the beat-to-death two-piece OEM control arm bushings with new polyurethane bushings for a much-needed improvement in steering accuracy and stability....

C ya,

My registration came in the mail a few days ago and I've been delaying putting my plates on, but today I finally peeled off the temp window decal and put my personalized plates on. Kinda sad cause it loses just a bit of the newness

I changed the oil and filter today at 42k miles. I change the oil every 6k miles and, while it was free from the dealer, I let them do it when the computer said it was due.

I had previously installed a magnetic drain plug, and after I removed it with a socket, found the edges rounded on it. It appears that either an adjustable wrench or a socket that was the wrong size was used at the dealer. Very disappointing.

Overall, I've had very good experiences with the dealer but now it makes me uncertain if I want to go back.

Brakes are finally done - I snagged a tech to work on the side and he went above and beyond. The dolts that put my summer wheels on didn’t bother to torque them to spec so he spent almost 3 hours drilling out the key after it snapped off. Found a monstrous allen key that was slightly oversized and hit it with the grinder - perfect fit and he was able to finish the job. Just drove it and they feel great - no more soft pedal.

Thanks! I'm hoping to fit most of my tools in it plus a variety of spare parts so I can roll the whole thing into my trailer for track days.

How was the install? Looks pretty simple. Got the parts on the way to do the standard seats in both of our MINIs. Going to start with the drivers' sides only.

Not bad really. The lower hooks for the mat are plastic coated and they are a pain to remove/install. The leatherette seats are really easy to access just twist/unclip the button and unzip. Spent about 1.5 hours to do both seats - I was trying to be careful. Watch out, the metal frame is sharp.

Not sure what you mean by "the button", but I'm sure it'll become obvious when I look back there. I did find your post in the "How To" section. Thanks.

My back is looking forward to this mod.

Sorry I meant the "bottom"... where the leatherette back panel meets the lower back panel piece.

Gave it a good wash inside and out, first time! Man, it produces a lotta break dust. Anyway to fix that?

Try coasting to a stop. I'm so glad I got the Black Star Bullet wheels. They're about the same color as brake dust and hide it very well.

Hope you don't mind this comment. I'm not singling you out on the tinting thing (which seems very popular), but I have been in traffic situations where not being able to establish eye contact with other drivers created potential danger. Please post pictures of that new "hot pepper" and stay safe.
