if that plate is what I think, it is going to be a major flow bottleneck to the supersize blowers and port of the 62. Not that this is an easy issue to correct,

Interestingly enough....... just yesterday I called Josh at Unichip to get him interested in the project...... I put he and Dave in touch and he is very interested and has offered to fly to Greenville for some tuning and other "features"...... so..... the excitement is growing...... this would make it possible for people who already have Unichips to use them and people who don't but want the addiional capabilities of the Unichip to go in that direction..... BRPerformance has an A/F (not sure of all he features) solution but I am not certain what it is......

Update

There is very good news for those of you going to Monterey...... there is a better than average chance that a 62 car will be there..... By special arrangement M7 may debut the kit...... the kit will be "proved" on my car for about a week..... if Dave is happy that it all passes the kit will be removed from my car and sent to M7 to be installed on one of their machines so that about 500 Mini owners can drool and line up ..... this is all very exciting..... there are no gaurantees that the kit will be "ready" but it all looks very good....(fingers crossed)

So why am I the one "leaking" all of this......because the twelve year old inside lives for this and I can't contain my enthusiasm and excitement (see puppy peeing all over himself)

So....who's going to Monterey?

It isn't done yet but like I said "better than average chance" Dave does not want the kit to go until it is ready....I think he feels good that it can be sorted out in a week seeing that the other prototype so far has had no issues and it is getting miles put on it.....I wish I could be there.....

I was in the Bay area in Jan..... back in June and I'll be there in Oct.... I have never been to the track but this would be a great reason....

I love Santa Cruz, Monterey, Healdsburg, Mt Tam..... what an incredible part of the world......and what a great place to debut the 62

I'm hoping those of us on the east coast can order direct from DDM. Not really a bad drive for me either.
So that would be better options for me and I'm thinking others as well.

That's answering my question I take it?

Too bad you're over 4 hours away. I'd like to see the kit installed.

DDM is currently selling the HDI kit direct as well as M7 who has just come aboard.... ..... please remember that BRPerformance is the co developer and they will be selling kits.... they are located in Greenville SC. It is very cool that M7 is involved and they (fingers crossed) will debut the kit at Monterey.....

Greenville is about 9 hours away so dropping by to check it out is more than a casual trip.
It's a chunk of change so an up close look would be nice.
Monterey is a bit further away

Hey SpiderX
if Monterey does not happen, Consider the wrap up in Jersey City and the Lime Rock Vintage races on the Sept 2-4 weekend. Besides its a lot closer to SC???
Understand there will be about 800 MINI owners at Jesrey City wrap party??
See ya there

I'm guessing that's there probably no good reason to not do both - an West and East coast debut! Again, assuming all is good-to-go in the next week or so for Monterey...

Put it back on your car for Lime rock - I might even make the drive from Atlanta.
