Man what a thread it will take me all day to read this thing. A guy on fb is talking about the M62 and says he did one for 900 bucks. I think he bought the first unit from DDM. Another guy on fb said this was hotroddin and I am diggin it big time.
Anybody still around from when this thread got started? A Youtube video making the rounds on FB has a German GP1 making over 300 hp on a dyno with a M62.

The post above your with all of Charlie’s comments, he also has modded a Lysholm whipple 1200AX also and has it on his Non GP. Has an M62 on his GP.
Welp the m62 is on, bugs worked out, and im running logs right now to finalize the tune but she lives with a cobalt eaton M62 supercharger running a JCW pulley and making 21 psi at 5k rpm.
Sorry to resurrect this one, but I have been doing extensive reading and have one question:
Why does everyone cut the intake off right after the SC body?
Why can't the long, wide intake section be kept on and mount the stock TB at the end?
Knowing how restrictive the small plastic charge tube is, it seems like a win-win.

gotta rework a lot of other things to keep it. It can be done. Working on one right now with a custom intake.

As far as I can see on my R53, the existing intake system (TB, intake hoses) and AC lines are the only thing in the way.
However, I'm not sure of the trans bell housing.

the trans is in the way, it has no bellhousing its all one unit. but you can carve it down 3/8" and shave the super inlet to match and it will clear as long as you shave the back side of the case those 2 mounting points still need to be removed.
