So are you saying that 200 lbs. ft. of torque is unrealistic as a goal with a modded, supercharged MCS?

Sorry, I don't think the truck is what I had in mind for auto-xing...

Try this answer then: different gear ratios such as those offered from Quaife. I have them listed on the DMH web site.
Or...
Get the BBR-GTi M62. With the Wegner head it made in excess of 220 ft lb of torque.
Or...
Wait for the TVS supercharger.

I tuned this car earlier this month in Scottsdale with only 91 octane.
It’s not lean for a street tune; road race, yes. There are different maps the owner can choose from at the flick of a switch.
The combination of the technology in the Wegner head (unlike any other), Stahl headers, and the ecu tune allows for 225+ WHP; even more with race fuel. (The head comes with a performace guarantee.) And it uses only a 15% supercharger under-drive pulley.
Cost: Most of the costs assocaiated are on the DMH web site. Then add install.
What did you use to tune? Doesnt sound like MTH because you mentioned switches. And I do understand the package idea.

That car was tuned with custom MTH and Perfect Power.

i know that you are a smart guy and have tuned motec... but 13.5:1 in az... that could be tough in the summer. perhaps this is where the differnt maps and switches come into play... no?

Correct.
And as a side note, the 91 octane gas was just dreadful.

ya... people complain about bs dyno numbers coming out of az... yet the odds are stacked against us... we have the worst gas on the planet, and horrible weather... i know there is a correction factor... but still its an uphil battle

OnaSled - Do you have any pics of your ceiling fan rig for top mounted IC's. It worked well! Yarrow (that was a long while ago) did 10 pull's in a row on my new 2005 (it had been run in). The max swing was less than 5 hp. That Home Depot fan seemed to have heat soak in control. I had to stop him from pulling more as the oil temp was getting up there. I have the stupid looking crono pack but the gauges do work! The oil temp jumped about a 1/8 of an inch up between pulls. Something to consider on track days and dyno pulls.

Hey some of us like the way the Chrono pack looks.

Not to speak for onasled, but what he used was an attic exhaust fan. I found the thread where he provided info, and a photo, but the image is now removed.

I have such a fan, but mounted in a place more where it was intended, in my house They can be had at places like Lowe's or The Home Depot for like 60 bucks. Just build a 2x6 box frame, and tailor it for your ICs face. That said, with this dyno set-up, you would most likely be getting better ambient air utilization than with your hood/scoop set-up...

Hadn't had my coffee yet! I'm just glad nobody posted a photoshop pic of what that would have looked like!!! On the other hand, I'm just sitting down to my morning coffee and that might be a treat!!!. It also may explain some of the strange dyno numbers posted on some of the forums!!!!

my car is faster and more capable than I have nerve.......survived a brocken neck in a mt bike wreck... I see too many crosses by the side of the road up there (mostly MC fatalities)

I am still good in the other dept......no blue pill necessary that is the reason i stay in shape

Most people will run out of B**ls before they run out of car with an off the shelf MCS. I can only imagine how quickly you reach the "abilaty range" with what you have. When you get out of the car are you, still shaking, talking fast, can't stand still, needing a glass of watter? If so, it's all good....

actually no....... I like accelerating out of the turns..... I rarley have to stand on the brakes to enter a turn..... I drive like I ski "blue runs" smooth and even......

I will say that the new gear box would be nice...fewer downshifts to 2nd....

I drive very safe and well within myself and since I am a dad and a granddad I always am looking for the "other guy"...... the "blue run" skiing analogy is the best I can come up with

Fortunately there is a small airport near by. The old owner, a car guy, is a close friend & the new owner is also a car guy. So we have tested all kinds of stuff there, including this car. With a 3/8 mile straight ( runway 1/2 length ), a hair pin to the taxi way, a long sweeper back to the runway and a final double apex onto the runway you can have a hell of a test session. It makes it easy to find your limit. I figure, if you arn't scared, you don't have enough respect for the vehicle.
The highway is a different story. Most drivers have no clue. Could be me but the driving, attention to road conditions, speed, lane and everything else has gotten worse. So I hear you "blue run".
Between my son & myself we raced for 23 years, not including some MC & drag racing I did before I had a son. Bottom line, we both drive like there is a trailer on what ever we drive (many thousands of miles w/ trailer), not like old laides, but close.

It is better to have some car left at the end of your nerve, than nerve left at the end of your car; and reaching for the limit is better than passing it.

Top heavy-ness does not make for tight/fast/hard/quick (add your own term; you probably get the idea) turns. When I had my Yukon Denalis (2001 & 2003), I would drive completely differently as well.
