Here are 2 vehicles 1 for urban driving where parking, door dents, road rage, power & crash proof is needed. The second is not for urban driving or the faint of heart but for someone that does not want to mod anything, maybe........

Maybe. But there is the benefit of 5,500 lbs. of mass. People would think twice (often more than that) about cutting in front of me when I was in the Denali (even people that were driving Expeditions).

Actually, a Hummer H1 does a pretty good job of providing protection from road rage and crash protection for its occupants. As far as the other car(s) that might be involved in an altercation with the H1, all bets are off. Fuel mileage is another matter, however.

Keep your fingers crossed - there is likely to be a post # 2000....

There is so much new territory with the M62 that is yet to be explored.

what is interesting about driving the M62 car is that the M62 is a HUGE pump and the parasitic drag is very identifiable until about 2250-2500 rpm after about 3K the increased induction really seems to take over..... you can tell the engine is turning a big pump at low rpm......

it is fun to drive from about 3500-6000...... the head and cam are so smooth at 5k it is like a sewing machine..... the Milltek header adds a lot of sound which sometimes is annoying......

I am starting to get excited about the new header pulley and tune that should take place in the next week or so..... I am pretty sure at that point I will pronounce the engine "done"

interesting. I asked about that very question some time ago and you had a different answer. Did things change or are you more used to it now?

probably more experience with it.... what's funny is that on Dane's car I did not notice the drag...... I think my header lets me hear more...... or imagine more

Trust me an engine is never "done." You might be satisfied for a few months. But the itch will return. You should look into a stroker setup to really take advantage of that supercharger. Would help you down low.

He has already built a 2.0l and has plans for even a bigger one. He has some amazing technology.

So, without telling me to read 1800 posts of drivel, is an M62 kit available from anyone yet?

...... call Dave at DDM and see where things stand..... he has installed two kits and maybe 3 by now...... maybe a line can begin to form......

I will start chapter two after my car has the header and the new tune.... by then I would guess that the kit should be ready for prime time depending on how far you want to take it.....

Hoenstly, for the money, I don't think this kit would be for me (unless some kind of drastic info is forthcoming). I think I'd be better off with a different head at this point. That and some suspension upgrades...and I'll be needing new tires soon. I do love following this thread though as I don't consider any of it drivel!

found out today the header is all but done....car will go in for a final fit and then final welds...... the tune will happen and then the car will come back to Atl for a new exhaust.......

the new header and exhaust are being designed for more flow/power with less sound....which will be nice

things are heating up

I just saw the new header which is a "tri Y" design or 4x2x1...... it looks great...... I should have some pictures very soon..... it will go on the car Monday and I will drive for a few days.... Dave will pick up the car and do before and after header dynos with tunes and a new pulley...... we are finally getting traction.....

Dave is just completeing the third car and he is very happy with the kit and thinks it is ready for prime time......

I promise that I will share dynos with ou all after I get the car back......

If I could just find the cash for the quaiffe/clutch and FW..... hopefully by Dargon time
