So does it require an intervention from friends & family? I'm not sure I could commit voluntarily.
I think it has a DFIC and an intake (K&N)

one of these days I'll post pics of all of them...
here some of my bro racing his 460 WHP 300zx TT

"Hi Dane"
I'm so embarrassed but that's ok. Tomorrow I'll add another piece of chrome and don't anyone try to stop me.
Mine also is alive and well. However to get the most out of it you'll have to do a lot of work and spend a lot of money to get there. I know one M62 mule went back to the M45 and is loving life. But I'm thoroughly enjoying mine. I don't know of anyone that is willing to do the work for you and there are no "kits" out there. You'd have to do it yourself and after my trip down mod road I know it's not a simple bolt on thang. Not even close. If you're serious about it then you might want to take a look at Eaton's TVS lineup. Good things are being reported about that SC (on a Mustang and a Corvette). Not sure which exact model could even be or if it could be applied to a Mini. You'd be in uncharted waters (read that as big risk of screwing things up). Good luck!
It's been a while...
Hey everybody! I haven't posted here in a while, but it's good to read up on what's been happening with the Minis.
My fiance (at the time) and I had just moved from SC to NC then we began this project with Dave at DDM works. Starting new jobs, planning our upcoming wedding, and buying our first house caused us to move this project to the back burner. Our car is still running great with the M45 back on. It still has a 17% super pulley, DDMworks CAI and Intercooler diverter/sprayer.
The M62 project was an exciting way to extract some more power out of the Cooper S, but since it was a daily driver for my wife we couldn't spend the time back and forth from Asheville to Greenville with the way our schedules were going.
On a side note....Dave at DDMworks is doing great! I was at his shop on Friday to get his help installing a suspension lift on my 05 Off Road Xterra. He said they never were able to put this together as a bolt-on kit like he wished. I for one feel that with the necessary development this could be a pathway for huge power gains. The time we spent driving the car with the 62 on it was awesome. The setup just performed more with less effort and you could tell it's way different than a stock Mini...however the daily driveability was maintained if not improved by the beefier low-end torque.
I think Spider had some ECU remapping done which kinda tied the whole thing together with your slew of other mods : ) When we were running it the stock ECU adjusted fuel mapping enough to get by.
I miss modifying the car and getting more power out of it. Now that things are more settled in our lives I might have to begin another project

On the contrary... There is one "kit" that is sitting in a box ready for install as new class limitations do not allow it...
Any takers???

Any takers???
Didn't bob sell the kit and the car???

I am the guy who bought Bob's car and it has an M45 S/C on it now. I don't know what Bob did with the M62 S/C. I just dynoed it with Jan in California and it is putting out 229 Whp and 200 ft-lbs with Jans new cam and 440 injectors. Jan said that the custom header (4 to 2 to 1) is running leaner than his 4 into 1 header, so that will be installed next month, along with RMW's new, quieter cat back system. The car will be run at Bonneville in the 130 MPH class in September, along with 6 other MCS's from SCMM.

I know who actually bought the kit that was on there and he has it currently, but as I stated, cannot install due to class issues... Would be a great piece to add to the legacy
