Cooper is a mechanical pump driven off the belt. Got to think outside of the "S" shaped box.

But there's no room.....

the SC, altanatorand A/C compressor take all the space for belt drive accessories. If you use the 62 and the cooper pump, where would you put the cooper pump? There's no room for it.

No big deal...

but sometime when you get a chance, look at the packaging of the S under the hood. Everything is real tight.

Good point, but this kit is built on an MCS. Back in the box we go!

Thats our Redline in that video, as you may know we developed the turbokompressor kit with Helix. The Redline TC puts out 335whp at 18-19psi boost on pump gas.

Back on subject!!!
Nice work on adapting the 62 to the Cooper

Hey Spidey, if you don't mind, would you keep us updated with sporadic 'teases' on the progress of your monster? I read back through the thread this morning, and I appreciate how you've repeatedly attempted to avoid any promises about "numbers", while at the same time 'confessing' what you hope to achieve. You've done a good balancing act!

And kudos to DDM for not making any promises, other than to work out the kinks, and report what they achieve. As we have seen several times before, developers seem to get jumped if they overpromise and underdeliver, and DDM have demonstrated great restraint in their public pronouncements. Good for them!

You want to know how good of a guy Dave is? He called me today wondering if I made it home ok from the weekend because I was having some problems that we managed to fix as well as Dave making a small bracket that he thought would help stabalize some things under the hood!

That's a good man in my book. I will be a patient grasshopper waiting and know that what we see will be worth the wait.

I know it wouldn't be easy. Since it's a compressor the entire induction path would need to be redesigned.
My original post was just a poke fun thing. Wasn't intended to be serious.

Whipples aren't exactly new. I keep wondering if any of our friendly developer/vendors tried to develop an application.

on vipers... its the most reliably modification you can do to your car... you can bolt it on in about 4-6 hrs... and dyno your car and get about 640rwhp... its just nutty... and they are 110% reliable... they have really mastered it on the vipers

Ugh! I lost Jango for 2 days while he was in for service! I even had a new 3-series as a loaner. I feel for you! I guess that's the price of being an early adopter!

Much like the MINI buying process, the wait seems like forever now, but in a few weeks you will have the motoring joy back (in force ) and you will have the distinct pleasure of pointing to your huge supercharger, looking at us and crying "Nah Nah Nah... I've got one and you don't!"
