Oh yeah. Back on topic.... If the 62 is a boob job, Pam Anderson better watch out! She's no longer the biggest on the beach!

has anyone done the M7 Supercharger rebuild? maybe Randy can chime in and explain how much their rebuild ups the HP for the stock sc. it's $700 for the rebuild, if it gets me 25 hp, sweet, better deal than the M62 SC but of course we have to see.

I would be true amaized if that netted 25hp. From what I remember, all it is, is a port and polish on the SC housing. Highly unlikely that you could gain 25hp just from that. The best part about the m62 is that the extra 40whp is only the begining. Should be interesting to see what SpiderX will pull.

yeah i'm sure it's not 25 hp, just throwing numbers out. just curious to what Randy at M7 may say about it. on the website it says a 20% increase in efficiency. Guess we just have to wait until someone has it and posts and info they may have on it.

either way m62 will yield alot better gains
because it isn't a 'rebuild' M7 is doing

Now that did not come across very nice did it.....?

We offer the ported and polished unit as a tool to accheive a certain level of
performance in out Cosworth package. I have no idea where 25hp come from
as that would be close to impossible by porting alone.

There has been no proof anywhere on this board that I could find that showed it made any horsepower at all. I am not sure why anyone would think that the M62 is going to make 300hp on a mini anyway. If you bothered to read all of the threads on turbos which are way more efficient you would find there are very few of them even making 300hp. That said, I really like the thought of having more low end torque so this intrigues me.

The description of the M7 SC on their site doesn't state that SC increases flow by 20%, but that the AGS increased the flow to the SC by 20% over the stock TB to SC plenum. I believe they stated the fact to show that by "opening and smoothing the interior surfaces of the induction system produces significant gains in airflow."-M7

Sorry about the slight delay in total satisfaction....

But I can say this...You want more performance, and Carbon Fiber in a deep
layer of glossy goodness ....

The rest tomorrow night.

It does not look like it.......at least from my end..... the interesting thing is that there is really nothing to see unless the car is displayed with the front end off...... unlike the twin charge which has the extra piping, the 62 looks the same.... the water pump gives it away but is not obvious that there is a change..... I could charge everyone a "quarter" to ride in the car

I am trying to get it to Nashville and it will be at Monterey..... and anyone interested can come to Atlanta as my car will be a rolling demo.

Dave assures me that the kit will not be in short supply once the design is finished/tested etc. The early adopters will be around and I'm sure posting on the performance....... with Peter involved with his photography skills I'm sure there will be great images to see online.....

My car has a Milltek header and cat-back and is louder than stock..... the stock 62 fitted car was very quiet in comparison

I would think the JCW "package" would take the cake in both those departments.. and is significantly more involved in installing... and the JCW kit is so "stock" now... The upcoming M62 will be the King of the Hill!

.. what's next?.. how 'bout the Getrag AWD kit!
