Today was the first time i had ever seen another oxygen blue mini in person before. almost had a heart attack! it was an OC/W w/white bonnet stripes, we were both driving on Hunter Mill Road inbetween Oakton and Reston, and it was around 8:50 this morning.

Also saw a pure silver mini with checkered roof in a parking lot on Sunset Hills Rd, in Reston. around 9:00am today

 

Got a wave from a 08 SS/B MCS with black bonnies yesterday on Powder Mill by the Ag farm. Looks like a new MINI owner with temp tags

Jessica - you might be the only Oxy car in the DCMM gang, I can't recall seeing anyone else with one. I did pass one on Rt50 heading to Tate last Saturday, black roof.

I saw my first Oxygen Blue MINI the other day as well.

Sunday, on the beltway between that mess heading from 270 towards College Park. It was raining pretty heavy so I didn't bother waving or nothing.

I must share!! I was walking back from lunch today in DC and waved at a CR who looked lost, they saw me and (eventually)waved back (huge kudos to them for waving at someone not even in her MINI!!) Turns out that they are visiting from New York and needed directions. We chatted for approx 15 min give or take a few minutes. Told them about the Dragon, DCMM, and NAM...of course at this point I can't remember their names, but what a GREAT experience!! I'm still on my MINI high from making new friends at lunch time. So very unexpected.

 

we really do need a special wave for when we are without our minis.

 

I saw a TON of Mini's drive by the Genocide protest on Mass Av today. Also a yellow one in Ballston with Gynormous black rims

 

i think i am the only oxy blue in DCMM. i think i may also be the youngest dcmm member, but thats just a guess. im 19

Who was the Laser Blue/White at Lord Calvert Bowl in Huntingtown last night? I went over to tag you, and found a DCMM cling in the window. I was confused because I have never seen you at any club events. So now i guess there are five of us.

 

Sometimes I ACT like the youngest.

 

I got a couple of waves yesterday - one from a BRG/Black Cooper on 66 East and another one from a Lighting Blue/Black at Tysons. I parked next to and tagged a BRG/Black at Pentagon City.

I waved at a Chili Red Cabrio on 14th St, but the valet who driving didn't wave back.

 

Received an enthusiastic wave on Reisterstown Road at about noon from a CR with Black Stripes with her top down !

 

I saw FOUR MINI's earlier today in/near Potomac MD. I only got one wave. Too many color combinations to remember though. I think the first three were in the Great Falls area and the other was on Falls Road (red cabrio S- woman driving). Was anyone in this area around 1-3ish today?

well, my first car that i bought was a 97 buick century, which i had for over a year and loved. but my mom sold it when i went to san fran for college. it was only because of the car accident in nov when i broke my back, that my grandparents decided they would buy me a brand new car that they thought would be safe and make me more comfortable on the road again, and since they have only ever owned BMW's, and i have always wanted a mini, they thought that would be the best car for me. and i love it!! i feel very lucky to have the opportunity to own such a wonderful car at such a young age, and dont take it for granted at all. I also know that even after this car, i will probably stick with mini's for a very long time, because it is such a great car, with an amazing community of owners. i am very happy about it all!

 

haha, my bad! well, we are still the 2 youngest! so hooray for us!!
