GP spotted on Rt.7 heading Eastbound right near Rt. 28 this morning around 9:10 or so. It was being driven by a woman, looked like you had a smile on your face; believe me, i was going crazy when you drove past. (Again, not in my Cooper...i get a company car for work!)

It's just another part of the "we do it to be difficult because we know you will buy the car anyway" policy.
I was thinking that maybe sales of the Coop are less than the S and that's why they came up with the different colors but then they go and offer the S in its own "limited" hues.... For me, I would love to have an Oxygen Blue R56 S with white roof and bonnies, that would look sweet ! Better yet, all Oxy blue with orange stripes like the old Gulf racers.

So I'm sticking with my Cooper
The key to the boost is to use it when no Coppers are around, only Coopers though I must admit, on weekends, I drive much faster than I ever have, at least more than a quarter mile at a time. I look back at my days when my Cougar was a 12 second street car and wonder, how did I never get a ticket ?

Cheers,

Mike

Got two enthusiastic waves from MCS drivers in my neighborhood about 30 minutes ago. One was 'lectric blue and white and the other was all chili red. Saw JimCarhart's MCS on Halcyon this morning.

Psssst....by the way, MrTire (formerly Craven Tire) has a coupon on their web site for free tire rotation and 'spring inspection'. I'm at the Lee Hwy location right now (Free Wifi!).

Actually, I was thinking it was your car parked on the uphill side of the street between tennesse and overlook. I should have tried to check the plates, but I just assumed it was yours. It was a Blue MCS with white viper stripes. I was in the sienna when I saw it in the morning, then it was still there this evening when I was coming home from MrTire in my MCS. A guy was sitting in the front yard near the mini he returned my wave.

Had a great MINI day yesterday cruising around old town Ellicott City, waves from several including a Black MC with White bonnies. I'll post some pics of the other one we "ran" into, Leona wanted to take a picture of the "Lilburn castle" as we came around the corner there's a MINI already parked there ! Turns out its the neighbor's car, had a great chat with the owner. He told us about it being haunted....check it out http://www.prairieghosts.com/lilburn.html

Seeing more and more Mini's on the roads all around the NoVA/DC/MD area. You can almost tell the year by the color. BTW-- yes the 'burgundy' is called velvet red-- my color top and bottom.

We are seeing more and more MINIs in Southern MD. Looks like I will have to trade in Winston03 and look for a more unique means of transportation. Oops! I already have the most uniquest (?) form of transportation.

Hope everyone had a great time at MOTD 2008. I couldn't make it this year due to work. Gotta pay the bills somehow.

Saw a dark silver with a black roof (i think) with matching wheel arches and aerokit turning from Wolfe Street to Washington Street in Old Town around 4pm today. I didn't have enough time to see a DCMM logo, but did see an M7 sticker on your passenger side.

you got me all excited for a moment, thinking that someone had finally posted that i had been seen, then i finished reading and saw that it was in maryland.
i see so many mini's but no one ever posts that they see me. whats up with that??
by the way, my mom saw a yellow mini with tags saying "NIBLIT" but she doesnt know any of the other specs. i just think its funny that i have sort of recruited her into mini spotting for me, even though she drives a Volkswagon Rabbit.

Heading into DC this morning I saw my first DCMM sticker on a MINI!

Bev and I were heading south on 270 a little past 7am this morning and around the 124 exits we saw a Dark Silver (or was it royal grey?) MINI stuck in traffic with us. I think the car had MD plates with an "Alumni" frame....Emory-Riddle?...and the DCMM sticker on the lower right of the rear window.

We didn't have our MINI so we didn't bother waving.

Glenn
