Maybe it should be shown as a MINI-video when newbies pick up their MINIs? "How to wave at other MINIs 101?"

Sylvia, is that license the 1BM W0# series? Where I work in Rockville, we have a PW/conv with I think ends in 1BM W03, and I just recently met another MINI person where I get my nails done in Germantown who has the same plate only different last number who clued me into that she got hers at MoT. I had quizzically wondered for months what that all meant, 1 BMW 0# and then it made sense.

You think that's bad, Jeremy. I found out at MTTS that MININurse & JustJay are my neighbors, literally and I have never seen their MINI...

I need to go tooling around the neighborhood and look for them. (would that be considered stalking?)

You got a date next time I bring Dilbert in for service at MoT, which probably won't be too long from now.

Florence - I am encouraged by your new and enthusastic energy here... keep it up! However, I do recommend you become familiar with multi-quoting, it makes for much easier reading. If you need any help, let me know!

I *love* doing that!! One of my favorite settings on my GPS is 'shortest route'!! It'll take the dinkiest road into account, and send me down it! I've found some great roads in northern VA this way! Of course, Quantico, Ft. Belvoir, etc, sometimes gets in the way, but it's not too much trouble finding a way around!

You gotta feel really sorry for them. I especially like the really "dressed up in a business suit guys" who look too big for their cars, and who don't dare look at another MINI for fear of being recognized... I just LOVE putting my hand out my sunroof and giving them an exceptionally lonnnggg wave. Makes me laugh.
Exactly, that's what I said a while back. MINI's are getting popular and people are buying them for the "I have one to" factor.

Actually, if you are driving along the beach in CA, you can't see people. The beach is far from the road. In FL, you are staring.... looking at the girls and won't notice the MINI's going by

Yes, I still haven't seen you since the LaMadeline thing.

That's not entirely true! I got a bunch of attention with my MINI in P'cola. Probably had to do with the 4 hour + drive away from any dealership!

Today around 3:45pm, turning off of Compass onto Martins Blvd. DS/DS MCS. What happened to your trim on the front drivers door?

Multi-Quoting?!!!

Again with the multi-quotes. I'd love to accommodate, however, I don't see what I'm responding to merits multi-quoting. I know how to do it, just the messages I am responding to are on different thoughts and I don't pre-read them (nor do I see others pre-reading and responding to a whole shebang of them in one post), so what am I missing? :impatient

If it helps, I have finally gotten through all 20 pages of this thread as of last night...maybe that will help you see less of me posting...

Will do, Jeremy. I'll buy you a cup of coffee at the Towson Diner--I used to work there (as a second job) awhile back in ohhh, 19...

I have to confess that I have a hard time finding my way around a paper bag (is that the saying?...) and even with Betty (that's my GPS's name) I get lost, and find myself going in circles, but I can usually get on the right track eventually. The only time I don't like getting lost is when I'm taking the back roads to Towson to try and miss rush hour traffic, and Betty takes me through the skankiest part of Bmore, you know, the route with the most potholes and some pretty scary red lights, and I'm all alone trying to be cool just hoping that I don't see someone rushing at my car...

Okay, my first sighting: EB/White, with Dragon Decal

Well, I've been reading this whole post for the past few days, and believe it or not, until today I haven't seen a single MINI, which is pretty unusual, being that I live in Germantown and work in Rockville where there ALWAYS at least one sighting a day...however, and I don't think this really counts, cause I went looking for it, but...

I saw an EB/White with white stripes with dragons on them and a dragon on the roof, parked near to where I live, by the Shopper's Food Warehouse shopping center. I and my EB/White roof with white racing stripes had to bow down to the greatness of the dragon...We're not worthy! What an awesome looking MINI.

PS: I've never been back that deep into that neighborhood, and it made me long for living like that again, where you have a really great view and community feel, but yet you're close enough to go walking to the stores to have a beer, or a cup of coffee, or pick up some dinner or groceries. (Steven and I used to live someplace similar in Montclair, NJ, and I just loved it.) Wonder what the homes are going for over there? I'm sure more than we can afford...

Ahhh, I guess the 1BM W## series MoT got was a fluke. How cool for those owners.

WOW! I can't believe that you saw a car just like ours! Even in our neighborhood! I have yet to see it. Congrats.

Knaw, what I meant was that cops can't see 'em, however, you guys have the special stealth sticker, was it, an FOP, or some such thing, so they pass you on anyways.

Kind of like the VW bugs and the electric cars, huh?

Uhhh, speak for yourself, re: watching girls.

Did you see me tonight? I was returning something to the CVS and thought I should go find y'all and sure enough, there was Soulfire; I assume she was parked outside your place. Made me wish I had my cards to tag her. Nice place, btw. I absolutely love that area--had only seen those places from the perimeter. I like the lay of the neighborhood.

Hmmm, you wouldn't be referring to me, now would ya, mdsbrain???

Yeah, I finally woke up out of a dark slumber and have decided to join the ranks (after owning my MINI since April 2003. Hope you all don't mind some new blood? I guess you could say that "Stella got her groove on..." or is at least trying.

Please don't get upset. I was trying to be positive in my post, and any criticism has been constructive. Here's why so many people have asked you to multi-quote...

When you post back-to-back many times over, it is SO much harder to read. For starters, your header and signature is repeated multiple times on the page, so a lot less text fits on one page of posts. Secondly, it really does look like you are having a conversation with yourself. Despite the fact you are quoting before each post, when the same header keeps showing up over and over again for successive posts, it is quite a distraction.

All I'm saying is... if you want people to read what you have written, you need to keep in mind that the easier it is to read, the more people will actually read it. Having fewer posts, with multi-quote (and reducing the size of the quotes wherever possible too) would help that. The only reason you may be singled out in this (because none of us are perfect!) is because of the sheer number of posts you've made this way!

I meant what I said in my last post. I do love your enthusiasm! So please don't take offense to what I said. I meant well.

I second that "***" comment I may have to get out my Hooked on Phonics book to help me read the post.
