Was It You?¿?¿?
I keep seeing a BUNCH of fun MCs and MCSs flying by me and waving. Going tooooooooo fast to see who it tis though. But glad to have friends out there!
Jay drove Soulfire into work this weekend and had another EB pull up to him on Independance Ave and shout too him...WOOO you went to the dragon!! Wish I was there!
I had a couple of bikers shout at me about the dragon stickers and swag on my car lately. Seems that more people than i thought know bout the place!

A lot more people will know about the Dragon after motorists, both 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled, read the nice article in this month's Road and Track. BTW- there were a bunch of 3-wheeled vehicles out at the Dragon also.
I was going to say that the Honda was the box the MINI was shipped in, but realized that the box the MINI is shipped in is the Xb Scion.
I said that to a lady that parked next to me one day and she wasn't offended in the least and we actually had a nice conversation about both cars. I still wouldn't be caught dead in one though.
Motor On.

I wasn't thrilled with the article, primarily because of the the idiot discussing supposed triple the speed limit speeds he claimed to achieve. Attracting more of that type of driver to the Dragon is just what we don't need. It only takes a few extreme cases to spoil the fun for everyone.

I agree with you on the speed thing. I read an article where the author claimed to see 3 figures on the speed-o-meter. I heard the Troopers were cracking down on the speeders and dangerous drivers this weekend on the Dragon. I know that they had a crackdown in April on the same types. I passed a Sheriff's car that was parked among some bikers and one Mini. Don't know why. I was passed by one crotch-rocket and off he went. I think they are the ones that are going to ruin it for the rest of us. No matter where you go, you come across the ten-percenters that think they are the best. Parts of their bikes hang from the of Tree of Shame and they are no longer among us. They are just not on the Dragon either. I was coming down MD Rt 4 from the Beltway one evening before Marboro and 10 of them were riding the white line between lanes and passing cars. We were all doing 55-60 and they flew by us. One of the idiots was a female, so it isn't gender dependent. About 4 miles down the road, they were all stopped having a ciggy-butt. Sure were in a BIG hurry to go somewhere. I guess that all we can do is obey the rules on the Dragon and hope the Troopers and Mother Nature take care of the others.

I pulled off several times on the Dragon. I don't run V/Z tires, and I don't drive too fast for conditions.
There were several people who were though, and I would say they were taking incredible chances (cutting inside on blind corners, etc.). I certainly wasn't driving like a granny, and my car is anything but slow, but the road was patchy-wet on Friday, and you'd have thought we were on the Nurburgring.
I like my driving "spirited," but I also like my car, and my life. There are some risks I don't take.

How come I never run into any of you guys when I am driving around
I have gotten a wave back maybe about 5 times in the last 5 months & one of those was in Chicago!
Where are my MINI driving, waving back brethren?

Sad... I just saw a Hyper Blue (I think) MC(S)? on a flatbed towtruck heading north on Rte. 28 by Dulles Airport. License plate was "Great M8". Hope everything was well!
