I was tagged tonight! This is my first time ever.

I think I must have been tagged by the LY/W Cooper parked across from me in the Harris Teeter on Glebe Road. I was going to tag you when I got back to my MINI!

 

Turning on to Braddock from 123 at a bit after 8 this morning. I was headed the other way on Braddock and you never saw me

I was ready to wave, though!

 

Saw a Hyper Blue(??) MCS on Nebraska around 6 yesterday with a DCMM cling in the back.

 

Saw a Lemon Yellow Mini in the Burtonsville Crossing center this afternoon; had a sticker on the side that said "Time flies when having rum!", hahahaha

 

Silver MCS parked in the Nathan's Dairy Bar parking lot. Along with Manassas Cinemas on Mathis Ave. Didn't have the chance to get a good look I was working.

Saw 1FNMINI, he got some Ice Cream Good Stuff! HaHaHa

 

Ooh! That was a rare Janelle (aka BIGBADWLF on NAM) sighting! She's a DCMMer!

I know this since she 'texted' me on her cell that she was at Nathan's having some ice cream! Of course, she only did this to make me jealous...

(I really can't believe that I can't find decent homemade or soft-serve in the panhandle! You'd think due to the heat that ice cream shops would be a dime-a-dozen here... If anyone knows better, please prove me wrong! )

FL is really a different country especially the southern part (North Cuba) it is called Floridians really don't do things like that. Their history is in the tourists that ended up living there.

 

Tagged a LY/LY Cooper, license plates OMCK in DC on Saturday, on 46th St and Alton.

 

Tagged a MINI at the corner of King and Patrick in Alexandria early Saturday AM. BRG Cooper. Tagged a Chili Red S in the parking lot of Giant in Arlington at Lyon Village later the same day. Got a nice wave from a MINI owner taking my space as I pulled out.

Yesterday I saw:

1. red MCSC, last 3 of lisence plate 777. Was chatting away on a hand-held cell phone. Going east on 50, got off on 197.

2. The red bull Mini! Going east on 50 towards annapolis about 1:45pm.

3. BRG MCS(C?) behind me as I was getting on 50 going east back to Bowie from the eastern shore.

4. EB MCS with very dark windows heading eastbound on 50, pretty sure it had a black roof as well. I don't like EB, but I liked it on that Mini.

 

Motored home along a JB/JB w/sunroof, roof rack, and N. Carolina plates. Blonde female owner didn't even look over when she pulled along side at a red light.

6 miles later, motored alongside an indy blue MCC. Same thing happened.

Booo on you, snobby Mini owners!

 

Tagged a JB/JB pre '05 cooper in rockville today... Nice color combination!

Also got a friendly wave from a PW/B Cooper S on Norbeck Rd.

 

Saw a HB/W Mini parked at Columbia Mall today when I was there for lunch - I believe the license plate started with FTT or FRT or something similar. Would have parked next to you for some company, except you were waaaaayyyyy out in the boonies of the parking lot. At least you had a nice shady spot!


Snobby Mini owners get my goat! I saw SIX Minis within the span of 30 minutes one day on my commute, and not one waved back!

 

Maybe they were intimidated? The Bat-Mini is kinda scary, after all.

 

I ran into this punk in a Pepper White CVT at Goddard today. He was always complaining about some sort of hardware or something. He also complained about living on an island.

 

I was in Destin FL. this last week...I traveled through AR-TX-LA-MS-AL & FL and only saw one MINI while driving.... and had a freindly wave from them in their BRG/BRG MCS. We were headed East on Hwy 98 right around Destin, FL.....They passed by and waved & moments later in the congested traffic I passed them & waved back.....never to be seen again

1-- '05 or '06 LY MCSc with black top and Yellow Dash & Door Panels.
The yellow was quite nice looking on the inside

2-- '06 AB/AB MCS with 17" Web Spoke wheels.

Yep, he was even trying to blame my hardware/software for the problems his was having. I mean serious, he didn't even read the ICD, if he did he would have implemented the correct B variant of 1553 instead of A.

 

i get snubbed about 99 % of the time when i try to wave at fellows Mini drivers. It's kind of saddening. But there are the few who make m day and smile and me and wave back.
SOOOO, if you see me, be sure to say HI!

 

It is exsapseperating, but keep waving. That's what I do. I keep passing out cards and no one calls or e-mails to join up for a soda, but I keep trying. Maybe if the dealers would make a bigger deal in explaining our growing cult and the 'secret' sign , we would get more wave backs.

Well since I dont want anyone to feel snubbed. To the IB?/B Mini with Temp tags and a sterling frame who slowed down to wave to us in Bowie last night. We are so sorry - we were jamming to Men at Work. We saw you too late and felt bad about not waving.

I get snubbed about 75% of the time when i wave to others.

A blue MINI pulled up next to me in Oldtown tonight at a red light. He looked meright in the eye, I waved, and he just looked strange and looked away. Now, you can snub me but my Ma' was in the car too. Be Nice!

I tagged a LY/W Cooper S yesterday... in Atlanta. Wonder what their reaction was when they found the DCMM business card on their windscreen? (It's pretty sad, so far on this road trip I've seen more licence plates from Alaska than Minis! and NO, I'm not in Alaska, I'm in Louisiana! Sheesh! At least I got to be a Mini-Celebrity and show the car off to some people who had probably never seen one before and were speeding up and slowing down to videotape me, hahaha!)
