Yea I know what yall mean. I get a couple waves here and there but not often. Its like they don't see you. I know I can pick out a MINI in a heartbeat a good distance away or even at night. But I guess they are MINI-Blind. Oh Well Atleast some of us still wave!

I just wave anyway, screw em.

Since I spend an ever increasing chunk of my commute not moving very fast ... I've taken to notice that other non-Mini drivers stuck with me in traffic get a kick out of the wave. I guess they don't notice the object of the wave not waving back.

I need no validation, the Mini is a blast, glad to recognize another mini driver with a wave, if they choose to "get it" ... bonus. If not, hey they are driving a car I can appreciate. Good on ya' mate.

I agree with you, I am gonna keep on waving no matter what.

Those 5 waves were worth all the waving, esp the older couple who waved back excitedly!

Drive anywhere near Sibley Hospital? I wave at every MINI I see! Even if they don't wave back!

But I do notice that it is rather funny that the people who wave back are usually enthusiasts like us, and those who choose not too, are just stock....Makes ya think, no?

Mini owners in this part of the country must be friendlier than average. I just moved here 2 months ago. Since then, I've spotted a red MCS pulling into the same gas station. The owner stopped & offered helpful tips for nearest svc dealership (in another state), and driving along hwy 119 & hwy 280, a bumblebee striped mini waved, another red one raved and an electric blue one waved. I always wave back, happy to own my dream car & be driving it.

Saw You In Tyson's 495 South to Gallows

Saw an AWESOME fellow Motoring Chick, with MOTRGRL on her license plate. She saw me coming up behind her and made a special effort to slow down and wave to me. Got a great big smile and an enthusiastic wave!
Awesome~~

When you're a good distance away from a MINI dealership, you can expect a lot more 'friendly' drivers! Out here on the Panhandle, I've only seen about 6 MINIs, and all of them waved!

Saw a nice Red 'Vert Sunday near St. Mary's County airport and a yellow MINI yesterday. I had to wave first, but I got a wave which is all that counts.
So, what are you doing in Pensacola?

Saw a silver MCS heading north on 17th street this morning at 6:35am... Turned left onto G street, and had an aftermarket scoop, probably CF.

Saw a PW Convertible on 123 by the Wendy's in Vienna. Waved and got a wave back.

(That's the second wave I've gotten by that Wendy's!)

Chased a Yellow/White MC down rt 235 in California last night. Had a DCMM sticker in the rear window. Can there really be 2 DCMM members in SoMD? There is hope for the area yet.

Motor On.

Someone waved back on Hunter Mill last night as I was driving towards Vienna.
(apparently I suffered some amnesia after my swim, I cannot remember the color or anything )

I also saw a PW MCS named BEANBAG in the Worldgate parking garage.

I should wave more. I always wave back (when able) but don't always initiate a wave. For shame, I know.

Me = PS/B MCS. Stock.

Let's see... last month? Girl in a MINI going north on 270 after work. I made a point to give a just before I had to exit and she grinned back. Don't remember car color. And no, I totally did not get distracted and nearly hit that truck... ahem... (call me!)

Thursday the 8th: my clone, another PS/B, except an MC rather than an MCS going south on I-95 in northern Virginia with Hawaii plates (say, that's a long drive...) Might not be from around here. Looked like a uniform (Navy?) on the hook in the back. I was driving to NC for a short vacation. Had fun motoring til I decided I needed to pull off and find some lunch.

I was the first MINI in the parking deck where I work. Now there's 3. I think. I swear whoever has that MINI parked in the first spot at the bottom of the ramp every morning has a different MINI all the time. What's the story with that, I wonder? Someone had a brand new MCSC the other day. Made me jealous. I keep thinking about trading mine in some day for a MCSC. Maybe I'll wait and see what people think about the 07 models.

Saw a nice 02-04 IB/W MCS with bonnet stripes parked at Nissan Pavilion last night... Virginia license plate "BLUDY EL". Loved the plate... left a DCMM card on it with a few compliments handwritten on it.

There's this MCS that's parked in front of a house on Lawyer's road near Vienna, I see it everyday on my way back from the gym.

Best daily parking spot for a MINI in the DC area I think.
(Anyone else seen it?)

GW Parkway

Ok, I'm used to 98% of MINI's not waving & not making eye contact. We're not all obsessed I realize.

But Tues while I'm southbound another Red S convertible also with top down coming north on GW parkway down below Belle Haven. I waved, I flashed lights, I 'tooted'. Come on, practically twins! Nothing.

I found a new Red S convert (temp tags) in Arlington parked at a home near Crystal City. Next time I go to dinner in the area I'm going to go park behind him or her for laughs.

Tuesday around 8 pm on RT.50 East.

Dark Silver S Convertible - MD tags MRE sticker above L rear lamp, red fuzzy dice dangling from mirror... TOP UP.

Pulled along and screamed " It's a convertible!!! TOP DOWN. " The driver looked at me, smiled but kept the top up...
