and about 4 justacoopers in Annandale at the Cafe Noir parkinglot

 

B/c of the beautiful weather, my top has not been up in 2 weeks-- everyone has been very friendly lately (except the MINI's i pass by and wave to with no response )

But I got 12 compliments on my car just driving home in rush hour from work yesterday. One of which was a group of people hanging out their window on 95 going 75 mph...screaming out of the window "i LOVE your car!"

 

haha, very cool! I dont think i've got any complements from people i dont know - it's always from family. But, i'll take that for now. Everyone else will follow.

 

I was stuck in traffic on southbound Rock Creek Parkway tonight and about 6 MINIs went zooming by in the Northbound lanes. NONE of them waved back. Oh well, maybe they were afraid to make eye contact with the disgruntled MINI driver stuck in horrible traffic.

 

Ok, I've waited long enough for someone to own up. The Clubman got tagged last night at the Corner Stable on York Road. So who was it?

Saw a DS/B today on some twisties around Liberty Reservoir. Waved and got one back. We passed so quickly I couldn't see if it was an S or not.

 

While stuck in unbelievable traffic on 295 south at about 11pm last night, we crawled by a silver R53 with the tags "El Nino". Didn't have the mini so I didn't wave plus we were well annoyed with the traffic (ended up taking the bf's car illegally into the grassy median and getting over to the northbound lanes...lol...if it had been my mini I wouldn't have dared).

Also saw a TON of minis in DC (near 9th street and U street) when we finally got to our destination...

 

GUILTY!!! didnt see any DCMM on it (but then again i was rushed and a little tipsy--getting ready to leave to go to hightops)

The vanity plate did seem familiar though...

 

I thought it was going to be you. You are the only one from the Baltimore area that has been active posting in this thread. Almost all of the posts are about DC or the suburbs. Glad we have someone active up here. We need more folks spreading the word around Baltimore.

I'm active, but I just don't see many around the Essex area .

 

I'm all over the Timonium / Hunt Valley / Green Spring area.... wave all the time and get them back. I need to make plans to get to Essex to tag Otto once he (Otto) heals ! Have to find out where Chris is so that I can travel out there to tag him !

 

Yeah...I'm covering the downtown area/inner harbor, fells point, federal hill, canton, towson, timonium, cockeysville, columbia, ellicott city and Elkridge

So between work, play, my house, and my family's house....I'm covering a lot of turf

 

I'm going to Towson at least once a month .

And other than my local area. Columbia and Ellicott city, I'm roaming around a lot in Md and Nova.

 

Motored with HLO MINI from Vienna to the Beltway this morning, until I had to exit to Clara Barton.

 

HA! Finally saw somebody from the boards in their MINI today!!!

It was kgdblu, I just so happened to see a MINI that looked like it belonged to an enthusiast! So, I looked over and recognized the face! Unfortunately, I was also changing lanes at the time so I couldn't get a wave out, plus I was in a big yellow truck..... You stayed quite a few cars behind me on 50 and then up Ritchie Hwy. I even tried to slow down to wave, but alas, it didn't work out too well.

Saw a fellow Laser Blue yesterday. I was at a stoplight in Clinton, and saw a blue mini with a white roof turning. It looked like laser blue and i involuntarily shouted, "HEY!" Of course I wasn't heard. So I turned down the same road and followed, not to be creepy, but it's very rare that I see another laser blue. Other than the ones in the club, that is only the second one ive seen. Anyway she turned into a gas station, and I think the driver was surprised to look up and see another MINI. Not only another MINI, but one that was the same color, same roof/bonnet stripes color, and same wheels. She outdid me with the driving lights though.

Anyway, I waved and she waved back, then I was on my way. Then, on my way home, I took a detour to hit some twisties, and ended up on a road heading back towards the intersection with the gas station that I just left, and I see the same lady driving on the other side of the road. We both waved again. Kind of an interesting story. There are a few wavers out there, keep the faith.

 

I saw a Cabrio yesterday in the plaza where the Starbucks/Coffee Meet was (in Potomac). Top was down and there was a lady sitting passenger talking on phone. I was going to tag on my way out (i was only in Starbucks for like two minutes) and they were already gone. I think it was blue, but i cant remember.

 

I saw it too. Chili Red with black stripes

 

Saw a BRG cabrio on York road yesterday morning, around 8am. I came up behind you, but seeing as how the visibility from behind is so bad- you probably didnt see me?

 

There was a blue Cooper in the same parking lot last night, which had a bunch of college stickers on it.
