Yesterday, I tagged a yellow MINI in the parking lot behind the farmers market in Bethesda. It has 'sushi' something on the license plate.

Yesterday, I also saw a blue justacooper convertible near the Apple store in Bethesda but I ran out of cards.

Then, i walked by a seafoam green justacooper behind the Starbucks in Bethesda. Also didn't tag b/c I was still out of cards.

Lots of MINI's in Bethesda yesterday! Was any of them you???

 

I was in in Bethesda last night and totally saw iSushi. I was eating at Moongate for my birfday but I wasn't in the Mini....

 

Spotted a blue MINI with white stripes today on Rt. 28 Southbound. The tags were ACTL SIZE!

Also spotted a GP heading North on Rt. 28 about 15min ago. That's the 2nd GP i've spotted in this area. Made my day!

 

I saw tons of MINIs today. I lost count after about 10. A couple of the more memorable ones:

• Black with white roof parked on Wilson Blvd in Virginia Square - it had a DCMM Cling
• Purple with black roof and silver stripes in Clarendon
• Black with white roof in Adams Morgan, license plate was "Adam"
• Green cabrio with a black top parked outside of Pentagon Row on Joyce St. (I parked in front of you)

 

Friday after noon on 295 near 195, black min with roof rack.

I was going 80 in the left lane, you went flying by me (OB/White). How fast were you going!

 

Well if was on or about 2:30PM from Sterling down to Herndon area ... 'ACTL SZE' was on 28 Southbound. Did I not wave? Did I not see you? Could I have committed the sin of missing a fellow DCMMer?

No, you didn't miss me in the MINI, i was driving the company car, (VW).

 

Driving north on 95 around 5:30, LVMYMINI is in front of me. I jockeyed around in my work truck til I could get her attention, and I looked like your average run of the mill waving raving lunatic until...I dangled my MINI key out the drivers window

Crawling traffic let me scrawl my NAM Name onto a piece of paper and share, and the same traffic let us have a 7.5 second shouting conversation...Nice to meet you!

 

Spotted a white MINI with plates: KRUT near MINI of Sterling and Wegmans at 4:30 today. I was headed in the opposite direction, stopped at the traffic light in the company car, so again....sorry, no way to get your attention and wave.

Noticed you had the 3rd brake light pulser; first time i've seen it on a MINI.

 

Were there any Ferraris near by. I think what you thought was a pulsing brake light was actually the "Ferrari Be Gone" device made just for Krut's trips to Sterling.

 

I spotted an oddly familiar BRG/Silver cooper at the McLean Greenberry's - In fact I may have seen and spoken with the owner Some guy named D A C R EMA

This morning, about 35 miles north of Danville, on 29. Could not see much detail about the car because the LEO was blocking my view until I was past you. Looked like it might have been a GP. Anyway, thanks for taking one for the team. I am sure they would have nabbed me if they had not gotten you first.

OK- This may be a long shot! On 7/11/08, we spotted three Classic Mini's on the island of Valletta, Malta. Adorable!

 

I saw a BRG/Silver Clubman today. I was Southbound on 16th St, Clubman was Northbound and made a left onto Harvard St. I looked up a little to late to wave and the Clubman driver was watching the road, not me, so no waves.

I just rode halfway home with another MCS! Yellow MCS with white stripes and roof; driving lamps with white covers. Guy driving and female passenger that i got a wave from. I believe they pulled out of the White Flint mall in Rockville, i caught up behind them on 355 leaving the mall also. We went back and forth a bit at a few stoplights and we both ended up turning left onto Rt 28 from 355. This was just about 20 minutes ago at 930-940pm tonight.

 

We are doing just fine Katie, thank you very much. We haven't even autox'd this year - just too busy (and trying to lower my golf handicap ) Trust you and Paul are well.

I actually thought of you the other day due to a strange reference. I remember you getting on the Smart list early but that you were not impressed when you finally test drove one. Well, I thought of you the other day when I was traveling down the Dulles Toll rd (going about 65) and was passed briskley by a Smart. While we all know that our MINIs feel VERY stable at (ahem) higher speeds, the Smart did not look very good at all to me traveling at that speed. Silly story but I'm sticking to it!

Yes, we decided against buying a Smart. The tranny in that car is very wonky and Paul really didn't like it. Since he'd be the one to drive it most of the time for his commute, I went with his decision.
We're ok. Paul has a new job which he just started last week, and he is auto crossing this year. He's spent a fortune on his car (LSD, coil-overs, etc., etc.) so he's been tearing up the courses.
Aside from golfing, what else have you been up to? I presume you've finished school?
Anyhoo, just wanted to say howdy to you both...don't be such a stranger!

 

GP spotted on rt. 28 northbound today around 2:15. You were turning on Severn Way heading towards Dulles Town Center Mall. LOVE seeing those on the road, i've spotted one around that area at least 3 times in the past few months.

Also talked with a gentleman who owns an Astro Black R56, at VW where i work today. Car looks GREAT, and i really do like those yellow fogs. Might add them to my car.
