I got a wave from a CR/B Clubman today. They were headed north on Rock Creek Parkway. The Clubman still had temp tags on it.

 

An AB car followed me from rt 214 to rt 2 in edgewater today. You waved as you turned right, I waved back.

 

I counted all the MINIs I saw on the road yesterday... 19. That was around DC and Arlington. I didn't count the parked ones. I started out keeping track of what type and where, but after 6, I gave up.

 

The other night in my street in Annapolis (just my block) there were 4 MINIs parked before I arrived with mine.
In the whole street - 3 blocks from the State House to the USNA Gate3 - now we have total of 7 MINIs (plus ours)

 

I counted 4 at one time on the Leonardtown, MD courthouse square. In case you are not familar with the St. Mary's County Seat, it is SMALL. Right then and there I decided there were too many MINIs in the area and am going to sell mine and get something else. NOT!!! There are more and more showing up on the roads though. About 1 in 5 wave. I guess the dealers are not explaining the secret signs enough. Shame on them. If you see me on the way to the Dragon this week, be sure to wave. I'll be sure to wave back.

Tagged a red MCS in the parking lot of Target at Seven Corners yesterday.

 

Two weeks ago I was in the Capitol Hill area vising my cousin who lives there, we walked from her place to the Eastern Market and I swear there was a MINI parked on every block! Next time I'll have a stack of tags with me.

Also got a rather hearty wave and smile from a CR/B MCS up around Gettysburg last weekend on Route 15.

 

Finally, after two years, I finally see a DCMM member. Tonight on the outer loop of the Baltimore beltway, Virginia plate "Not Big". Followed you for several exits before you made a cute move to get off on 70 west.

 

My usual haunt, unusual (for me) encounter;

Today Westbound Dulles Toll Road, 8:15AM MCS GP 'CUPR' as I was raising my hand to initiate what I knew would be a dumbfounded look in return ... he's already waving at me. Damn it. He beat me to it.

I saw Krut (or at least, I know it was you by the license plate!) by the Wegman's in Sterling Wednesday evening. I suppose I didn't get a wave because of all the test drive MINIs from the MoS dealership up the street.

Or maybe I had slunk down too low in my seat embarrassed to see you since my MINI is currently still covered in road salt and other gunk thanks to my trip to upstate NY last weekend.

 

Don't be ashamed for someone to see your MINI covered with dirt. It as least shows that you don't mind taking it out in the Wintertime and getting it dirty. I would rather spend time Motoring On than constantly washing Winston.
I've been on 2 runs to Upstate NY. The only bad part is having to stay on I81 so long. Borrrrrring.
Excuse me, but I have to give Winston a bath. The weekend is here.

 

I think I saw Christina-JCW yesterday. I was northbound on 34th St, near Cleveland Park and about a block ahead of me, a red MINI with red wheels crossed 34th. I couldn't see the driver or even much of the MINI except for the wheels. For as many MINIs as I see, I rarely see one I "know".

 

OT: Try living there for 20 years. What part did you guys go to? I'm from Syracuse.

 

A big thanks to a red and black S I think that followed me up on Shawan Road from Falls Road to Hunt Valley Mall at about 12:30 today. Thanks for the returning my Hello wave and giving a Good Bye wave !

 

That was me, heading over to Hunt Valley and Towson on errands. First time in two years I've seen a DCMM member up this way (at least that I've noticed). Appreciate the wave, unfortunately don't seem to get many when I'm on the road. It was actually a good day today, saw 3 Mini's with 2 waves.

Sorry for being off in "La-La Land", but I've been so busy with work that I haven't monitored NAM. (I worked 80 hours in the last 7 days in October, and was almost as busy November ). Yuck.

I wasn't anywhere near 34th St. Great neighborhood, just avoid the occasional potholes. I was over in Davidsonville, MD performing an emergency server rebuild for a client.

I guess that means someone else had a red Mini with red wheels. I can't have the spotlight all to myself...... LOL.

 

Someone in a PS/B MCS with roof rack was alongside me on Russel Rd. this morning. I was heading across King to Duke St. and you were turning left onto King St. I was preoccupied and waved late.

 

Saw Chris (MaxiCooper) on Montgomery Village Ave. this morning. Waves were exchanged.

Thanks to the Chilli Red and White R53 DCMM'r with Yakima Racks who thought it necessary to follow me through Rock Creek Park with their Brights and Aux Driving lights on. I really appreciated it...no, not really.

Parked (briefly) next to a dark silver clubman S with a license plate that started with "XUX" in Reston today.

My friend needed to stop at the 7-11, so I pulled in next to you while she jumped out of the MINI to run inside. You must have still been inside or at another shop in the little strip mall, and I left before you came back out.
