Got my first wave this morning on York road in towson! CR..yayyy

and tagged a PW w/black bonnet stripes at the walgreens there on giddings/york

i also got stopped outside of the Rite aid a few days back when i had the top down...some lady said "what IS that?!"
...a MINI...

"i didnt know MINI's made convertibles!?"

yup!!! to which she proceeded to play the 20 questions game (MoT is just down the street? They know more than me )

 

I got a wave from an AB/AB Cooper on Rhode Island and 10th NE today.

I also saw a CR/W Zipcar (I think it was MINI Martina) limping to the Zipcar repair facility. From the way the driver was gripping the steering wheel, it looked like she didn't have power steering.

 

Thats funny. I once met another miata owner when I had the top down. He told me he had the coupe version and I was like
Evidently he had the car for over 2 years and didnt know the hardtop came off.

 

ohh...thats just WRONG

I had a 2000 miata a few years back, and just like my MINI, the only time the top was up was if it was raining/snowing...

I was driving into work on Nebraska Ave this morning and spotted a Umbrian Red(maroon) Bentley Contintental GTC. I actually got a wave back

Sadly I was so excited that I was too slow in waving back

 

It wasn't me.

 

Last night about 8pm, saw a Black R53 S, I was taking the exit for Rt 50 from 495 in VA. You came off the exit in front of me. I flashed my high beams and you flashed your rear fog light back at me. Very COOL!!!

 

I saw a red coop (not sure if MC or MCS) at a stoplight on 28 West this morning at Darnestown Road. =) I saw them ahead of me so they probably didn't see me.

 

Spot, actually cruised together, a DS MCS R53 on 495 inner loop from Braddock Rd exit and you took off 66 west bound ramp. Nice MINI you have. Thanks for the wave. Btw, nice exhaust as well.

At first I thought you were PGT, since I saw red mirror caps from a far.

 

I waved to 3 or 4 minis around Alexandria yesterday and today. Too many to keep track of. No one waved back. Tonight, I tagged a IB/B MCS with roof rack on West Street that had parked behind me.

 

Got a wave this morning around 830am as we crossed through the intersection of montrose and 355 in rockville. My bf was actually driving the car and waved back...it was a laser blue mcs (I believe), guy driving. my first wave (maybe next time I'll actually be driving)!

 

Hi, that was me. Been lurking here for a few weeks now . I had to take the Mini out today, it's been parked sick in my garage for about 2 weeks now, with a leaking heater core. Finally got the parts in and fixed it. Now I'm back in business now! I just have to put the interior back together lol.

I played leapfrog with a Black MC with white and a checkered top around 5pm down 270 over to VA. Nice lady pulled up besides me and gave a nice smile and wave.

Cumberland Valley Mountain Run

 

Tuesday evening on my way to work I saw something that I NEVER have seen before.. on this particular road... without being with the club...


Driving up 198 towards 29, I spotted a PS/PS, didn't get a chance to wave because I didn't see you till the last second. Then NOT 4 cars later, a BRG/W. Waved, but you probably couldn't see me since the top was up. Then at the next stoplight, an IB/IB, then 5 cars later a JB/W!!!! OMG, then to top it off at the next stoplight another PS/PS!! I was TOO dumbfounded to actually wave! My chin was resting on the floor! NEVER have I ever seen so many on a 5 mile stretch of the same road without being on a run!


Then last night, I spotted a nice Black Sidewalk from NC. Pulled in behind you, waved, GOT 3 WAVES!! Totally made my crappy week feel pretty good. But why was your top up?! it was 70 last evening!

 

Yesterday afternoon, I saw a Hot Orange cabrio going North on 14th St. with top down and two huge plants in the back seat, sticking up at least 10 feet above the roof line. I SOOOO should have whipped out my phone and taken a picture! Proves that SUV's are for suckers

and hello to the yellow 07 or 08 i saw coming from 123 to braddock this afternoon (about 15 min ago)
i got my whole car full of folks to wave even though they think im crazy

 

Spotted lots of MINI's again today. Spotted white MINI at the Taco Bell in Fair Lakes. Gave and got wave back. Spotted a Red R56 Cooper S at the traffic light leaving Taco Bell. Then just down the street spotted another R56 with some VERY dark tint. Have no idea what color it was; but some shade of white i'd guess.

Coming back from Occoquan i spotted another MINI. It was gray and had fog lights. If i remember correctly you were heading the opposite direction on 123.

 

Saw a HO cabrio with black hood stripes and ST MRTZ tags at Starbucks in Edgewater this morning. Sharp car! Hope you got out of there faster than I did... it was pandemonium
