I think this is the first time I have EVER had a response! Yippeee. No, I was not a Sterling last month. I will be at Katie's on the 19th January. Have not been out much lately. Too much to do at home and with other organizations I volunteer for. I work at Four Seasons, but when our garage is closed, I park at the Foundry.

 

YOU: PS/B checkmate MCS northbound on Glebe Rd in Arlington Friday afternoon with a shark fin antenna and temp tags. I tried to pull up alongside for a wave, but I had to turn off to get to a dentist appointment on time.

 

Saw two Coopers at the Fairland Aquatic Center today, one was PW/B looked to be a first generation.

The second was no doubt R56, CR/W with White Bonnies, a classic looking bird. Tag appeared to say "Fire---"

Nope, you wouldn't have noticed me in the dirty old Mustang.

Spotted a indi or hyper blue w/white stripes and roof in downtown dc around k and 19... they looked kinda lost but i was turning. they had anthracite or black wheels and an exhaust.

 

I got my very first wave back EVER from another dark blue justacooper last Friday after work on 395 South right after the Pentagon. It made my day, and renewed my flagging faith in the wave. So, nice dude in the BDUs, if you're reading this, thanks!

 

Spotted a dark blue with a white roof heading towards Hunt Valley Mall yesterday at about 16:45.... gave a wave and got one back... the wave is alive and well in Baltimore (County) !

 

I passed at least 4 MC & MCS Monday on the way home from work, no waves but they were nice Coops !

I did get a wave from that same CR/B w/black bonnies MCS again on 197 - Cheers Mate ! Made my morning.....

Passed a PW/B MCS on Racetrack road and a CR/B MCS (No bonnies/S-lites) at the Amtrak station on 197 around 4:00pm today. I would have waved but you'd thought "that guy was nuts" in the Rustang

Was exiting from the parkway of my apartment on Yoakum Parkway in Alexandria at 8:56 am this morning, and across the street was a LB/W MINI (I forgot to notice whether it was Cooper or Cooper S, but I think it was Cooper), trying to exit the driveway of the condo. We saw each other and waved and gave each other thumb-ups. Then the traffic cleared up and we were on our respective ways. If that was you, ping me!

I also saw the same car (I think) on 395, northbound, in regular lanes, as I zoomed by on the express lanes about 5 mins later, just past Van Dorn Street.

Got a wave back from a PW driven by a lady this morning on Locust St SE in Vienna

 

R53 MCS CR/W with B&W checks on the roof and "A" pillars on Rt3 northbound 2:00pm

R53 MCS HB/W White bonnies, came up from behind me and Wensleydale before passing us on the right on Rt3 northbound just past 50 around 2:45. Why No wave

 

I cannot count the number of MINI's I have passed since I started driving mine in December and was always eager to wave, but no one seems to notice anyone else on the road! I literally see 3 to 4 every day (not counting the PW MC that parks down the street from me). How can a MINI owner not notice another cute little Cooper going down the road??!!

 

I saw a gold MC a couple weeks back driving through Silver Spring - what a great looking car! Can't believe gold was not a best seller.

 

Motor by 8, 9, 10, 11 streets NE (between C and D) more than dozen of us around !!

 

Hi Silver Spring. Welcome aboard! I waving/blinking lights/giving a thumbs up at every MINI I pass and sometimes I get a wave back and sometimes I don't, but I keep waving/blinking lights/giving a thumbs up and I have Winston03 for over 5 years now. My theory is that half the MINI owners own a small car that is good on fuel. The other half are one or two cans shy of a full six-pack. Most of the people on these forums are of the latter. Right lastrega? I think that most people that don't wave back are 1. talking on their phones, 2. have tunnel vision and are afraid of everything around them because they are in a small car, 3. don't recognize a MINI coming towards them, or 4. All the above. I got a nice wave from a red MINI going north on 228 this morning headed towards DC. It is rare that I meet someone going the same direction.

Don't give up. Keep waving and I promise to wave back if I see you.

 

Yesterday, green MCS with small US flag decal to left of rear license plate. I had the misfortune of getting behind you on some rural MD roads and thence to 15 North.

You were poking along and didn't notice the string of 20 something vehicles behind you who could not pass.

Next time admire the scenery from the side of the road :p

saw a SB/S Checkmate MCS in DC yesterday when i went to the DC auto show. it was in the pmi parking lot on Mass ave by 6th st. it had DC tags
