Was It You?¿?¿?

Saw 2 MCS' (DS & Black) tearing into Worldgate around 5:30pm as I was headed towards 267.
Also saw HIPPO as I was taking the exit for tysons off 267.
Who was it in the Chili Red Cooper S, pre-07 model, at the intersection of 140 and 91 at about 4:45 today? I waved, but alas, you did not see me.
Perhaps you were too absorbed in the spiffy hat you were sporting?

Massive Lemon,
Congrats on the new MCS. I'm in Finksburg off 91 so your post on the sighting at 140 and 91 caught my attention. I'm in a 07 CR/B MC (not the S that you saw), so I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm out riding around.

I saw a Chili Red with a checkered roof on Thursday 11/15 in Cleveland Park. It was around 9pm (I think, it might have been a little later). You were driving south on Connecticut at Ordway. I would've waved, but I was walking.
I flew into DCA about 11 am this morning for business this coming week, avoiding the Sunday/Monday post-holiday air fares and travel crush. Decided to make a quick run out to the Fairfax area to do a little weekend Xmas shopping.
I spied no fewer than 7 MINIs in the space of an hour - a JB/B MC (in dire need of a bath) in Crystal City; an AB/W and an IB/W southbound on 110 passing the Pentagon; an awesome looking EB/W MCS with white bonnet stripes eastbound on I-66 in Rosslyn; a PS/B with checkered side panels westbound on Fair Lakes Parkway; an AB/B MCS southbound on the Fairfax County Parkway; and my favorite: a flawless, pristine LY/LY MC parked safely off on its own in the Pei Wei parking lot in Fair Lakes.
Wasn't in a position to give many waves; besides, I was in a POS Dodge rental car and not attracting too much attention. However, seeing the parked MINI made me regret not bringing along my Eastern Iowa MINIs calling cards so I could sprinkle some Midwestern holiday cheer to the locals...
I'm keeping my eye out for you DC-area MINIs, and may just tag you on a future visit!

I picked up my friend's kid at the British School in DC last night and I saw the Chili Red with checkered roof in the parking lot! According to the kid, there's usually another one there that has "lots of British flags on it".
I parked next to an Astro Black Cooper yesterday at Dulles Town Center. It was at the end of the row, outside of Nordstrom and had a DCMM cling on the back window.

I hear tell that at the first sign of Winter, a lot of people put their MINIs in storage for the Winter. They don't want their baby getting all dirty and salty. Not me though. I run Winston03 year round in all kinds of weather and I have the mileage to show it, almost 80K and Winston will be 5 years old next Monday. I saw a DS MINI by Pax River NAS this afternoon on 235 by Gate 1. Too bad I was going in Gate 1 and she wasn't.
